I want Dragnar and Sorus to join me heading to Var.

Sorus can heal and shape, Dragnar can get anywhere we need to go, and I can handle the fighting bits.

Actually, Codex or Dragnar would both be fine, but... Haste can be cast on others right? It would make me so much more effective...

Actually, despite Aklyon being silly, I do have access to Haste (See turn 2, I think it was. I cast haste perfectly.).

And besides, you already committed to going with Derm and I to Var.

You had luck, not haste. the second time you slowed yourself instead.

Glyph: 12 is the base according to Geneforge 5. you still need to add 2 (4?) Essence for controllability (and extra for any other boosts), otherwise I move for him.

its the same difference as in the games:
Energy is for spells.
Essence is for healing, being part of higher-tier spells, and creations.

I remember both spells and creations being pulled from your Essence pool. That's why Agents made such terrible shapers.

Firebolt uses no Essence. Better Spells did, as well as haste, blessings, healing, unlock, etc. this is why essence pods were important for Healer Shapers in long battles.

I dont believe making stuff at the facility will matter much quality wise. In the games you could be in the middle of the best shaper hall or the wilderness and still make it the same. But then this is an RTD so whatever.
