Griffin looks to the others.

"So, how likely do you think it is we're being spied on right now, our speech monitored? Pretty likely, I'd say. Derm and Codex, I think you have some explaining to do - we're definitely in a situation here, and truth be told, I don't like any of the possible outcomes. As they said, knowledge is power, and we are remarkably short on knowledge.

What, exactly, is going on here. Assuming either of you know."

"I'd advise not making sudden movements. Derm is.... unstable. Two massive modifications to his basic humanity in quick succession is... Less than a smooth transformation."

> Ask to see how extensive of a library of sundry magics the rebels have.

EDIT NINJAS:
"Not now, and again, Derm needs as much rest as possible for him to not go insane."

"So let them take him and put him by himself in a room where he can rest while we discuss things." says Griffin, while slowly making sure his weapons and creations are ready should he spring into some sort of violent frenzy. He does not like the thought of modifications to Derm's body - that sounds a whole lot like the sort of Shaper knowledge that had been banned for a reason - could a human be considered to have "gone rogue", he wondered?

"Do you think he's a danger to us, and do you think there's a chance that he will recover soon?"

Dragnar ignored the conversation, heading over to the dead councilmen to try and see what had killed them. "So, what do you think the chances are we can find out a bit more about this place before making that choice?"

Derm glances at griffin, then stares back at his hands. Clenching and moving.

"Do I know what these people want? It should be obvious. You cannot see? You are blind to the clues. Rebels. Ursurpers. They wish to become a nation unto themselves. High possibility. Could always be wrong."

Flex. Stare.

"Good possibility of winning. Forbidden Technology. Relic of the past. Great power bestowed instantaneously."

Glance at Griffin. "Not insane. Mind cloudy, racing. Speech impaired. But power flowing. Watch."

Create the new thing I can make. (You know the one.) 2 Int, 4 Dex, 3 End 3 STR

(I have no idea what that costs. Why do we need the stat system for creations? Can't it be a generic 'level' based on our skill?)

"If he doesn't recover soon, then yes. He is very dangerous. However, if we give his body time to piece itself back together  he'll be an incredible ally.

"Drag, that's why I'm planning on looking around the library. I want to see how exactly extensive their collection of Banned knowledge is. If it looks like there's plenty to learn, I think here would be more hospitable to Agent training. Besides, I'm already a fair bit committed, if only to make sure Derm doesn't get pushed over the edge."

NINJAS EVERYWHERE:
"Derm, you need to rest unless you want to explode. Speaking of which, someone make themselves useful, and find one of these guy's medics. They'll know more exactly on how long Derm will need to recover."

(Derm: it could be a generic level, but I couldn't think of a way to tell the difference between L1 Fyora and L1 Ur-Drakon without just saying that one is far superior in general.)

It's just a bit clunky is all. The whole essense/creationsystem is a bit odd, with so many things to track. (Damn guardians, never having to spreadsheet once...)

Spreadsheet? :P

You just leave yourself enough essence to cast your spells and spend the rest on creations, not that hard!

Theres the entire system of stat selecting which changes every time you up a stat and it gets confusing real quick.

OR I'M LAZY.

All you'll need essence for noncreation wise is Heal, Mass Heal, possibly some other buffs if you feel like it (or ask bread for haste), and a bunch of Essence Pods just in case. Strenght can be ignored if its not going to punch. Dex can be ignored if it will always punch. the other two are pretty exact in what they are/do.

The Shaper is the squishy(est). what else would he do but hide behind a wall of his own creations? ;)

"Well..." Sorus said, looking around, "I suppose it couldn't hurt to go along with them for now, at least."
