I had one with a stoat jack and my hunter. Hunter walks around, shoots once, uphill, hits it in the head. It doesn't damage the brain, but the stoat is hurled away and hits the ground so hard it dies of that.

Bonus points for style.

Indeed, sounds like he did the typical action-movie reflex action when your hit with bullets (or arrows)!

My militia commander punched a goblin's skull in, tearing the brain apart.

The fact that it's a teacher... well, I'm not as disturbed as I should be.

In Adventurer once I was battling a hill titan made of amber and I punched it in the head and it severed off in an arc and landed about ten spaces away.

In my last fortress I had five newly drafted recruits strangling a kitten gloom thrall for months while 3 war dogs bit constantly at it. Two of the dwarves died of thirst, having attained legendary wrestler status: other were trying to give them water but fled at the sight of the kitten, dropping their bucket in a quantum pile. Finally I managed to get my woodcutter to equip his axe and attack the gloom thrall: after a few more months of fighting and pretty close to legendary status, he finally stopped missing and proceeded to cut off the kitten's every limb, and finally killed it by decapitating it.

Needless to say, the mental images were interesting :P .

You... killed a thrall?  Really?

Yup, I also killed dwarves gloom thralls in addition to the kitten one. Legendary axedwarves seem to deal with them fine because they end up chopping their head off (at least I think that's what kills them, with the pages upon pages of reports...)

Edit: Ah, but wait. I think that in that particular fort I was playing the the Masterwork dwarf fortress mod. It rebalances weapons, so perhaps it makes possible what's undoable in vanilla.

From my gamelog.txt:

Code: [Select]
You kick The Namekian Wrestler in the left upper arm from the side with your right foot and the severed part sails off in an arc!
EDIT: More gamelog shenanigans:

Spoiler: #2:Rampage! (click to show/hide)

And times number 2 by 31 in a row. Note that the creature I'm playing as is exactly as large as a human, but is massively strong through interactions (I'd say a strength value of 400,000 or so, considering what I've done with it and the exact numbers involved).

You punch The Human Farmer in the upper body with your right hand, bruising the muscle, jamming the left true ribs through the right false ribs, jamming the right false ribs through the right lung and tearing apart the right lung!

It's like bowling, except with organs.

My expedition leader grabbed a Kobold thief by the arm, bend it round till the nerves broke and the bone shattered, punched him in the head, shattering the skull and piercing the brain, and then dumped the body in the river. First kill of the fortress

Lol, these are great.

I once had a tundra Titan appear, well, my baby cried at the same time, so I *thought* I paused it, and ran upstairs to check on her. I come back to seeing the titan corpse being hauled off.

Checking the reports, my 4 hunting dogs kept latching on firmly in sequence, one after the other, while my very green 3 Marksdwarves placed iron bolt after iron bolt into its lungs.

It eventually suffocated. Those guys should've gotten an automatic legendary for that, lol.
