The game takes about 25 hours to beat. And you guys haven't even gotten to the ENDGAME yet. That's the best part. You know how normally a company TELLS you what the best parts of the game are so you can look forward to them? Well, this is the contrary, the best part of the game, one that changes the way the entire game plays itself, is at the very end, it actually adds to the replayability in a very ingenious way!

The one after you get to the core and "upgrade" your mothership? Or is there something beyond even that?

when the "mothership" isn't what it seems yeah. That whole bit after it, you know, that intersting twist on things when you find the whole story out. Really nice.

Not sure about "not what it seems", but yeah, that change in gameplay in the end is pretty nice. Do you regain access to the periphery towards the end, or does the endgame remain confined until you're done? I got caught partway through the endgame by the game being released, so I had to start over.

regretfully you get caught in the periphery, I actually spoke to Andrew about that, seemed kind of weird to not be able to go back, but he says it's for a reason.

NOW WE CAN SPECULATE ABOUT A SPAZ 2 OR AN EXPANSION WOOHOOO

Man, this game gets hard, I just keep getting swarmed, and mines are the worst, the generators have so much HP.

So what are you tricks to getting blue prints? I know some stations sell them, what about beyond that? I try jumping between empty planets in a star system but only like 1 out of 30 has any bases.

Do you guys just breeze through systems that don't sell BPs?

Pretty much, but some of those systems can be used for trading goons for research.
Also evrey solar system should have 2 starbases.

I haven't been able to reliably get blueprints other than buying. So if you visit a system with a blueprint you REALLY want to get in good terms with whichever faction has it. Even if they dislike you, it's possible to bribe them by doing a suicide run to their station (use your wingmen as bait if the station defenses are too strong).

Usually I try to keep at least a few higher TL systems completely befriended, that way I can just lurk around their heavy conflicts like a carrion eater, that way you can really fill up on crew/resources/black boxes. So bribing them can be good anyway.

If you go to a planet without an event there is a chance that a space station will spawn there. If you blow it up there is a chance that a BP will drop. I just have no idea what the formula is or how to increase the odds. Also you have to cycle through alout of the lame, pointless encounters to even get an empty planet.

If you blow up a faction station you also get (some?/All?) of the BPs for sale.

I believe you get all, but then they stop spawning in the non-event planets. Anyone know what system "tech focus" means? Is it just what they will be using against you or do system eventually get more BPs?

I guess I should add that over all I enjoy the game, but there can be long stints without much advancement. Going up levels doesn't seem very rewarding and often I just leave a bunch of points sitting around. I spend about 2/3 my time with full resources and goons and nothing to do with them. All this means if you are trying to raise faction to buy BPs, it can be a grind.

It would be nice if you had silly things to spend resources on. If you could take over a system or anything like that. Even cosmetic things like repainting your ships or adding logos. As it is now you carry around resources so you can respawn a bunch when fights get heavy and that is about it.

Okay I have only been playing it for a little while so let me ask my questions...
WHERE THE FUCK ARE THE ZOMBIES!!?
No seriously, if the game title has zombies then it better be based around zombies.
