If it had freed the clowns, he would have found out by now. Possibly its draining into a section, where the clowns cannot travel

That or he hasn't had the game unpaused while the bottom of the appropriate adamantine tube was revealed, meaning the swarm hasn't spawned yet and the only clowns present are the few passive ones that occasionally spawn like wild animals. Only the swarm actively tries to seek out your dwarves; the others just attack any they see.

I don't think he's actually anywhere near the clowns at all, it seems to be he's new to the game(or too old to it) and doesn't know about the caverns, and his volcano is draining into the cavern layers. How could a volcano be so mislaid as to cut through the magma sea and the adamanatine, too?

If you still have it, could you post the worldgen and location? I'd love to see this.

Too old ;P I havent played in months, not since before all the updates with all the new animals.
And yeah, It was poring out into where the clowns are. So I abandoned it already, sorry.
