Sorry Webadict, I was one of the sane cops, and I got Scum on Irony on N1. If I had lived to tell you that, you wouldn't have had the mistaken logic to begin with.

Doesn't matter if you've got it figured out if you're scum. The trick is making sure you've inserted yourself properly into the game.

That was town friendly. Really, really town friendly.

Even if we hadn't gotten convenient inspect results on Night 0 we still probably would have figured everything out in time.

The only thing I can think of to make things less town friendly is the ability for scum to falsify inspect results. That said, that would promptly get insane and chaotic.

That's what I wanted to avoid for this iteration.  Inspection results for the last try were pretty much useless due to the presence of a godfather, a miller, and the Insantizer.  I think I went too far the other direction.  I thought the Super Saint was a good addition, though.

The thing is that the Super Saint only kicks in after the town has figured out everything and started lynching, at which point it's just an inexorable march towards victory.

Even a fairly confusing setup gets a lot simpler when it's closed, so don't shy away from one or two confusing roles as long as everyone knows they exist and can plan for them.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

On a related note, that terminology always confused me. My gut reaction was always 'open means the game setup is OPEN to everyone who wants to know, closed means it's CLOSED to prying eyes", but I can see the logic.

I think the RNG hates me. I knew it was nigh-impossible for town to lose, which is why I inned in the first place.
