hey can you add me to the waiting list?

also i suggest checking the trees in the NW and keep some guns on the rocks to the south

Of course I can! 2nd mission should have some fun pew-pew. :)

Character name: Wulfric
Squad 1
Formation: Spread Out (I don't want one of those Mo'fo's taking everyoen out with one grenade or rocket.)
Stance: combat
Action: Ingage in melee combat with the Rebels

 ??? What rebels?
The ones right in front of me.

The people right in front of your squad are Squad 3. I do not think they'd appreciate being stabbed in the back. The rebels you were engaging have fallen back through the village, possibly fled.

Yeah, sorry Ahra, wounded chaps don't get to do much unfortunately. But luckily this mission will be through soon enough. I may be able to find room for your own command next mission.

Let's be honest, he's really lucky he's still alive to have a chance at a mission. Seriously, who goes running off into an obviously booby-trapped field? *ducks as objects are thrown at him* :D

Turn 9 Results SUMMARY.

Earth Standard 14:55

HQ Squad – With most of your team off tending to the wounded, you hunker down and wait for Squad 2 to sweep by. You attach to their group and begin to sweep the jungle with them. While some of them don't appreciate having to be so close to an officer, most seem appreciative that there's another set of eyes looking for traps.

1st Squad – Not wanting to risk further injury to yourself, you play it safe and let 3rd Squad do most of the heavy point and scout duty as they search the village. Your men seem to appreciate not having to do the dangerous stuff.

2nd Squad – After seeing off the wounded you and your squad push forward slowly through the dense woods. As you approach the position where the rebels were firing from, you can't seem to find any bodies or weapons nearby. If you did in fact hit anyone they must have taken them with you. As you push forward, you don't find anything out of the ordinary in the shelled ruins of Alpha, except for the gunned down body of a civilian in the middle of the road.

Melta Gunner Ezekiel – You're quickly loaded onto the Valkyrie and whisked off the safety. Thanks to the prompt medical treatment from the medtecs on board your wounds should be all healed up by next month

3rd Squad
– With 1st Squad generously watching your backs, you and your team elect to move forward and search Bravo. You don't find any more rebels and all the villagers seem to have fled, but you do find a few more crude booby traps in the tree line as well as over a dozen guns of varying makes and quality. Seems like who ever made it out alive dropped their guns to blend in with the local populace.

Weapons Squad – You decide to move ahead with 3rd Squad and search the village. One of the Stubber gunners notices a small nest in the trees that was most likely used by the sniper with poor aim. It seems empty now, whoever occupied it having fled having missed so many shots.

FO Group – Having wrapped up the successful fire mission now that birds were in the airspace, you and your radioman sit back and enough a well-deserved break as the rest of the platoon pushes forward

Raven 1 – Your medtec informs you that all 5 wounded are accounted for. You lift off easily and again, spot no combatants in the area as you ascend. You fly back to base to unload the injured before returning for the bodies.

With Alpha Bravo clear, the rest of your platoon pushes forward to complete the rest of their road patrol, finding it quite uneventful compared to the events surrounding the village. You've secured a vital road for the IG war effort to retake this hellhole of a planet!

Imperial Guard Casualties.
6 dead
5 wounded

Rebel Casualties
18 Confirmed dead
+4-8 probable dead/injured

Debrief:

Command is pleased that 1st Platoon under the leadership of Lt. Lemartes Arnam was able to respond decisively against a rebel ambush in an area that was not suspected of harbouring strong enemy resistance. The abaility to confirm at minimum 18 enemy combatants killed is strong evidence of the ability to repel enemy attacks under pressure. That being said HQ is also of the opinion that too many friendly casualties were caused by enemy traps. The Lieutenant would do better in the future ensuring that his squad advances more carefully in areas where traps are suspected.

Command is also disappointed that the road was not entirely cleared of landmines. As this was the main objective of your sweep HQ finds it puzzling that more resources were not dedicated to detection along the roadside. Advancement of supplies was delayed as the lead convoy truck going down the road struck one of the mines and was disabled, killing the driver. While command is grateful that you were able to cause so many casualties to the rebels, HQ must remind the platoon to always attempt to complete main objectives to the best of their abilities.

While it is unfortunate that so much damage was caused to the village, given the nature and ferocity of the attack, HQ feels that the use of Basilisk assets was justified in this circumstance. It is also of the opinion that civilian casualties suffered in the area were also of an acceptable nature given the amount of hostile force present.

Go get some rest and we'll get some replacements for your Platoon for the next big op.

Result: IG Minor Victory!

Please submit players and soldiers for commendation(Or reprimands). Your squad or others, Feel free to make up details if you need to! I may award medals to the truly deserving(Or punishment)! :)

I've found a few ...

The Iron Halo
The Iron Halo is given to warriors that show exceptional courage and initiative in battle. It also incorporates a refractor field much like a Rosarius. It is displayed behind the helmet of the marine, much like a halo.

The Marksman's HonourThe Marksman's Honour is awarded for accurate shooting and targeting (in the case of tank crews). The medals themselves are believed to be gold encased bolter shells fired by Roboute Guilliman himself.2

Imperial Laurel
A marine bearing this honour has, quite literally, won his laurels. Imperial Laurels are awarded for acts of bravery that lead to victory. The company standard bearer must have this honour. It is worn as a crown by a marine wearing it.

Terminator Honours
Usually seen in the form of the Crux Terminatus but sometimes seen in the form of a small pendant hanging from somewhere on the marine's armour, weapons or banner. These represent marines that are eligible to wear Terminator Armour.

The Macharian Cross
The Macharian Cross is the most common award given to young officers. It is awarded for intelligent application of the Tactica Imperialis. It's bearers are more likely to be recruited into the general staff for future crusades and campaigns.

The Honorifica ImperialisThis medal is awarded within each segmentum so it's proper name would be Obscuras Honorifica. The Honorifica designates one of the greatest heroes of the Imperium and its bearer will have the respect of his comrades and superiors.

The Medallion Crimson
The Medallion Crimson is a fairly common medal amongst Veteran Guardsmen. It is issued to soldiers that sustained the worst injuries but never lost faith in the Emperor.

Crimson Skull
The Crimson Skull is given to soldiers who managed to successfully give medical aid in a combat situation. It is also common among members of the Officio Cadian Medicae personnel and especially veteran field medics.

Honorifica Imperialis
Honorifica Imperialis is a term that refers to a number of gallantry medals. Each Segmentum has its own variant, such as the Obscuras Honorifica. The bearer of an Honorifica Imperialis is regarded as a genuine hero of the Imperium and will enjoy the highest regards from his comrades and superiors.

Order of the Scarlet Wing
A basic medal from the same group as the Order of the Eagle's Claw, the Scarlet Wing signifies that the bearer has been injured but survived a battle in which he has participated in some manner of airborne assault. Injuries in such actions are commonplace, however, and veterans refer to receiving this medal as "getting your wings".

Order of Ollanius Pius
Ollanius Pius was the lone Man who stood in front of Warmaster Horus, sacrificing his life for the Emperor. His saint-like image is usually on Imperial Guard banners, and this medal is the highest honour a mortal man can earn in the service of the Imperium.

Ribbon Intrinsic
The Ribbon Intrinsic is an award given to units rather than individuals. It is given to squads that have proven to be the linchpin for a victorious battlefront, where they managed to turn a defeat into a victory through sheer determination. The Ribbon Intrinsic is said to forge a great bond between members of a platoon, though in practice, the Ribbon is usually awarded only to a handful of individuals, who are the survivors of gruesome battles they would rather forget. The medal itself is of low material value and takes the form of an etched brass strip with a tripartite ribbon hanging beneath.

Star of Terra
The Star of Terra is the highest military honour a soldier can achieve in his lifetime.

Triple Skull
The Triple Skull medal is a medal bestowed upon those who were in a unit that suffered at least 66% Casualties and survived. It is seen as the inferior Medal to the Golden Skull, which is given posthumously to the fallen of such actions.

Winged Skull
The Winged Skull is earned by those who have demonstrated inspirational leadership which led to victory. It is often displayed on the shoulder guards of armour. The medal itself of ancient origin and its design of a skull with an iron device has been adopted by the Space Marines as an insignia for a Sergeant.
