Character Name: Lemartes
Squad: HQ
Formation: Skirmish line with at least 5 feet between each other.
Stance: Patrol
Action: Wait for Squad 2 to advance into the hills and for zulu to be taken. Once squad one advances towards gamma start moving to foxtrot.

Lemartes walked over to his primary radio officer and had him run a quick check with the other squads. Satisfied that communications were in good shape he turned to his squad. 'Men, I expect a good showing today. Just because we're the command squad doesn't mean we can take it easy. We have a burden to bear and an objective to take. If we fail it could mean disaster for the rest of the company. Stay sharp and for the love of the Emperor, don't make any noise you don't have to.'

Yep! You're in. You're the two men to the left of the Commisar Cadet in the middle. You can attach yourself to any squad you like or stay separate as the situation dictates

@USEC - It may be important to note a few posts back, Squad 2 asked the LT. to 'borrow' your meltagun man. LT. agreed so you're going to have to take it up with him ;)

Character Name: Arghun Ezekiel
Squad: none
Formation: none
Stance: march/follow in commands pace,
Action: get into the dense forest, if i have an flamer (dunno what ive got) otherwise follow command.

he was canting in an low voice that the privates may have found quite eerily : vigilo cecidit flamma comburet redemptionis usque in aeternum cruciabuntur consumere flamma peccatorum
but he grinned, today the emperors foes would be turned to cinders, and their guts to ashes.

Startled by the silent approach of the forward observers Lemartes started visibly as Sgt Lisk announced his arrival by speaking into his ear. His intention was to attach to the command squad during the operation. Or at least until needed in other places. "Very well sergeant, but I'll probably have you hit the hill after Squad 2 has cleared it of snipers. You should have a better view of the primary objectives from up there."

I'm sure that squad 2 needed it. Frankly, I didn't really know what to do with it. Just move them in formation without it. (ie, I'm beside the corporal.)

Guess my writing didn't come across right. The indication was that Lisk had approached quietly enough that Lemartes hadn't heard him. Then when he spoke it startled him. Sub-text is that he was so pre-occupied with whatever it was he was doing he didn't notice what was going on around him. :) But anyway... Let's get this show started!

Okay, still haven't received official orders from Phantom, but considering he is attached I'm going to go ahead and start moving for turn 2.

Stay tuned!

Turn 1 Results

Okay gents, I ended up giving 2 move orders as nothing happened turn 1 so you've moved a little further!

14:37 Earth Standard

The platoon edges it's way slowly down the road. Platoon HQ and Weapons Team waiting patiently as the rest of the platoon crept forward towards Alpha Bravo 34.

Squad 3 made good progress along the edge of the Swamp Rice Paddies., searching carefully they didn't spot anything out of the ordinary... so far(roll: ?).

Squad 2 began slowly pushing it's way into the densely packed woods to the East of the road. It would be slow going but they were heartened by the fact that the Lt. Had attached the meltagun into their squad.

Squad 1 pushed forward to the closest hut, dubbed Zulu, as they rounded the corner to open the hut's door, thankfully the point man noted a pair of grenades (Roll 3,1) tied to a small wire set to explode if the door was opened. Peering through the hut's window, it appeared unoccupied though(roll: ?).

Suddenly the quiet of the day was broken by the snap and hiss of a rifle bullet fired towards the Weapons Squad. It flew past the Stubber on the left flank by a mere few inches, pinging harmlessly off a nearby tree, sending splinters in every direction. ”Sniper!” someone yelled out. If there was anyone in the village around they weren't too happy that your platoon was on it's way here.

As the bullet flies past, a moment later, one of the privates yells “Contact!” (roll: ?) he points down the road and you see a single man running across the road towards the huts. He raises his lasgun, “Looks like PDF to me!” he shouts, waiting for a firing order. You can't tell at this distance clearly one way or another

Units under fire Expertise rolled: d6+1

Squad 3
Sgt. Adeon Loken: 2+1 = 3
Cadet Commisar Seneca Hostilian  6+1 = 7

Ahra, I have you listed as Support/waiting list.

If you want in right away I can have you play as the melta gun operator that is currently attached to Squad 2. :)

Otherwise when support elements show up I can give you control of one of them.
