Really? The mapmaker put no such restriction in the readme: "The map is suitable for all levels of player, and it is even possible for a fresh character to progress through the map, although you should expect some very difficult challenge.  Well geared characters will probably breeze through the first few areas of the map, but you will quickly find that the difficulty ramps up, especially when you go... down."

Having tried the beginning a bit, I wouldn't want to play it without an obsidian skull, rocket boots, and ivy whip or grappling hook, at least.

I might come with full gear, and just blaze to the bottom, ignoring everything else.

It's actually pretty fun when you don't have anything beyond what the game gives you.

Jump off the bridge, straight down to the magma sea, final destination!

Unless you manually re-set the key, in which case check in your steam settings. The screenshot viewer won't show itself until you exit the game, so fair warning

Wow, that was really fun once we got down to our core team. We did a bunch of exploring, worked our way through various challenges, got a whole bunch of chests and some nice equipment.

The cloud-in-a-bottles were life savers!

We didn't finish exploring the bottom of the chasm, and it would have been really nice to have beds at various points to allow us to reset our spawns, but overall I think it went pretty well.

Thanks to everyone who stayed until the end, I'll be uploading our current "state of the map" soon.

Soon:

Anyways, in the end there was quite a lack of tearmwork especially at the beginning, and it was very hard until we started pulling together. It seems quite doable without a pick, at least beyond what we accomplished, since there was still quite a bit more of the dungeon to go. Chests are always ready to give you blocks, so thats no big deal.
