How do you picture your war dogs?
« on: June 04, 2011, 10:28:20 am »

I know the game gives pretty detailed descriptions of them, but I usually don't take the time to read them, at least not once I have a lot of dogs.  Besides, the descriptions still leave some room for imagination.
I usually picture them looking kinda like Dobermans.  However, when I actually read the descriptions, it sounds like they're probably some kind of mutt.

Except you don't feel sympathy for the dorfs.

Perhaps, but I always imagine them as hyperactive, dimwitted killing machines.  You can imagine them chained to the front gate, barking, "Thief! Thief!" and pulling on their chain like some mascot from Beggin' Strips (tm) commercial.

I like to think they look like a mix between a bull dog and a mastiff like the ones used by the romans.

I picture them feeble and ready to roll over and die when confronted by badgers.

I only use war dogs as burglar alarms these days, so I picture them as being those little yappy dogs that bark their heads off whenever anyone unfamiliar comes by.

I imagine them as deadly wolves, snarling and bristling, ready to tear all enemies limb from limb. Once they get the opportunity, though, they are woefully (and hilariously) ineffective.

I picture them as the various variations of Dog from Fable II

No, no, that's what the Dwarfs are like, not the dogs.

I sort of imagine them as being Pitbulls mixed with some really large dog, such as a Great Dane.

Ever since my war dogs started singlehandedly ripping giant badgers to shreds, I've pictured them like this:
