I need help. How does one simulate lightning in creatures? I know, paralysis can be used to do that, but if possible, I need to know how to make a temperature rapidly go up then down.

Also, is there any alternative to allow healing spells and buffs? I'd like to know.

Many thanks in advance.

1) It may be possible to simulate lightning by mimicking severe burns and temporary paralysis or function impairment.

I would recommend pain, blisters, and very short-duration paralysis.

2) Not as of yet, but this may be possible soon.  The next release of DF is supposed to be expanding on syndromes and effects.
