As far as inks and wanting permanent ones, the FDA or other medical institutions could step in and require some minimum effective procedure for ink removal if such technology comes to pass. Thus you won't be able to sell tattoo ink that isn't this hard to remove anymore.
I don't think gangs are very concerned by FDA regulations.

I'm actually not familiar enough with tattoo ink to know how easy it would be to synthesize privately. If it's more complex than simple printer ink in tubes I can't imagine too much capital being spent investing in roundabout ways of making permanent ink.

it makes me sad that the awesome movement that was skinhead has been stained beyond repair. while there are still many skinheads that do not align themselves with racially prejudiced ideals, the word itself has become loaded

Stick needle in skin
Stick needle in skin with some sort of ink of any kind attached
Continue.

Pen ink works, as far as I know.  This is not something that's easy to get rid of.

Yeah, that was what I meant.

I accidentally self-tattooed when I plunged a pencil in my arm when I was 11 while opening a box of legos (this one, in particular). I still have the black spot.

i was struck with a pencil on the base of my right thumb by an idiotic girl of age 9 when i was nine years old too.
i still got that damn pencil coloring on the right thumb, of the same shape of the pencil point.

“Well,” he said. “We’re in the Forgotten hunting grounds I take it. Your screams just woke them up early. Congratulations, Lyara.”
“Do something!” she whispered, trying to keep her sight on all of them at once.
Basileus clapped his hands once. The Forgotten took a step forward, attracted by the sound.

The next month, when shadenight123 was charged with arson in connection to the fire that burned down his former elementary school, that post became evidence.

A. lurked around. I never liked the other kids.
B. ran the playground. They couldn't tell me what to do.
C. finger painted. The teacher wondered why I did it so much.
D. was stabbed with a pencil by a classmate. I never cried, and I never knew why the teacher made me sit next to people like that.
E. played light pranks on the teacher. Everyone loved it."

This man gives southern people Texans a bad name.
Fixed for y'all. Don't be lumping them crazy-ass Texans in with us. (No offense to the handful of non-crazy Texans like Aqizzar.)
Texas acts like it's its own country, and we're just fine with that arrangement.

I thought we agreed a long time ago that the acts of some who classify themselves as members does not mean all members are also of the same mind.  It doesn't matter if we are talking about Texans, Southerners, Arabs, Christians, Jews, Blacks, Whites, Republicans, Democrats, Tea Partiers, Liberals, Women, Men...

I have the same thing from sitting on a pencil (the lead tip broke off), though it's finally faded somewhat after 24 years.

Sorry, thread history makes it hard to tell when people are being serious/silly.

I actually had some stuff that filled me with progressive rage today!

But, and this is the reason I so rarely contribute new material to this thread, I think I already forgot it.

Give me a minute...

Oh yeah, I remember! Apparently Obama has done... something... that made it government policy to lie to people? Like, official stated policy, "We are going to lie to you about this if we feel like it", in regards to material released under FOIA requests - even to the judiciary and other branches of government requesting the information.
