Nah, its a bastardisation of rugby. If gridiron is trench warfare, then rugby is blitzkrieg.

Anyhow... A well told story is rewarding. Thing is its easier for gamedevs to hook people through thier "daily rewards" than to create an immersive experience, and hence more profitable.

So who's willing to bet that the employee wouldn't be charged if the genders were reversed ::)

I'm pretty sure the hypothetical female aggresor would be charged. Beating two people up with an iron rod an sendingg them to the hospitwl is serious business

Nvm, hadnt read thst the other people started it. Still, "repeatedly" is kind of nasty, even then. Hitting someone with an iron bar repeatedly when he or she is down, goes beyond self defense, I think

Whose gender in particular?

I dont get the guy's willingness to confront the two psychos, either. I'm pretty sure I'd not put up a fight to defend the counter of McDonalds

If it'd been a woman, she still should've been charged.  That's way past self-defense.

Not with you on this one ECrown...  I'm sure a woman probably would have been charged for that kind of excessive force as well.  What a bunch of stupidity all-around though.

The fact that the female customers are also facing criminal charges for menacing the guy kind of implies that we're finally being treated seriously.

*shrug*

I don't know how I feel about that. They are clearly the victims in this case and I don't think prosecuting victims is ever a good idea.

The fact is, Crownoffire was just sniping at some of yesterdays argument I think. And... Honestly I've seen this same story with genders being swapped or the same or whatever for both partys and for who's the aggressor. This isn't... Notable really. Just two sets of people having a bad day and snapping at eachother, but one went far too far.

Both parties are victims.  They hit the guy and chased him behind the counter, remember?  That's (mild) assault and battery, as far as I know.  Both groups should be charged.

Anyone still grieving over last night should give this a good read (may contain strong words such as male privilege and patriarchy, so be warned)

One was a slap in the face, the other was getting beaten to a pulp. I'd say they have already gotten "justice" served hands over this time, though you're right that that's probably not for me to decide.

Yeah... I couldn't watch the video, but from the description, it seems they were initiating an all-out attack on the guy.  Both deserve charges, but the person who did cause serious harm deserves a lot more punishment than the people who probably intended to and may or may not have succeeded.  I don't see much wrong with the outcome of this.

they did behave criminally, we shouldn't excuse criminals just because they were victims of another crime. they aren't exactly blameless victims either, they didn't just verbally threatened the guy, they were the ones who got physical, and then went on pursuit of the guy when he fled.

gah, ninjas, i'm posting anyway.
