There was also the one that came up with the earthquake problem, remember?  I think it was some Imam who was talking about indecently dressed women causing earthquakes, so a whole bunch of women said "okay, let's show some breasts "

First up, dressing provocatively /= being a slut, despite what rapists might think.

Secondly, just because aspects of society single you out for acting or behaving a certain way isn't a reason in of itself to stop behaving like that. By dressing "slutty" you're making a statement. Something along the lines of "I enjoy showing off". Being singled out for showing off doesn't mean you should stop.

The article's fine, but I haven't read through the comments yet.  Could be interesting, could be difficult.

He's falling into their 'trap' with open eyes though. They probably couldn't really care less what socially engaged women think about their new drink, but are instead angling for men (and a minority of women) that are attracted to it's 'hard' nature. What better way to get a lot of exposure than by letting others do the work for you, and especially the others that your target demographic sees as backwards and still hurting over past times? Remember that they don't need to capture the full market with this one drink, they've got plenty of other formulas around.

Guys, getting hit in the tits really doesn't hurt that much.  I mean, yeah, it sucks, and it can knock the wind out of you for a couple seconds, but it isn't that bad.

Female friend of me told me otherwise though. Guess it's one of those things that differ a lot between people.

Yeah, but my point is that pain should be pretty irrelevant to begin with, so girls experiencing pain while wrestling are probably okay with that. If they want to do it, they'll have to deal with it.

Perhaps my views on pain are somewhat skewed.

I wasn't thinking about combat sports when I brought that up, but rather about sports like Rugby and Lacrosse though, the kind of sports where the advise is "expect to get joikned around" rather than "expect PAIN".

What defines being a slut anyway?

I'd imagine the frequency with which one has anonymous sex, with a multiplier for cheating on a partner in the process. This is not exactly something that can be figured out by looking at somebody's fashion choices, and you probably have to make allowances for psychological or economic problems that make this the a relatively sensible choice for the person in question.

Then there may be a definition problem here, because a lot of people define a slut as someone who behaves overly promiscuous, of which having a lot of sex and wearing miniskirts in public are both symptoms.
