A bit of progressive anti-rage:

DADT (Don't Ask, Don't Tell) is officially dead.

The official policy now is "I'm Gay, Shut Up And Pass The Ammo".  :P

Liked this bit of artwork to go with it:

I will not be happy until someone really does that with a tank.

Tanks aren't street legal, but you can purchase demilitarized surplus from the former Soviet countries for under $100k, and you are allowed to drive them around on private property.

This is speaking with US laws, I'm not sure about other countries.

Sadly, that marriage would still not be legal in 42 of 50 states. (the one in the mural, not the real one in the tank-limo)
Still, who wants to be the one to break that news to the two guys driving a tank?

AFAIK some tanks are road legal in the UK... and the best bit is they are exempt from the congestion charges in London and Manchester. Having difficulty getting into work? Too fat to fit in a supermini? Buy an Army Surplus Scorpion and beat that traffic...

So, you think that intercepting and censoring personal email is the kind of thing you only have to deal with in places like Syria or China?

I'd be willing to buy Yahoo's explanation that it was an inadvertent spam filter catch. I often run afoul of legit sites on DOJ's web filters, because it's mostly an automated list (and often not even a list that they compile, but rather purchase from a 3rd party).

Similar here - My county's education autorities web server filter scans URL's and page content for objectionable words that appear anywhere on a web page - adress, text, links, pictures. My Biology co-workers have a fun time when working on sexual reproduction, and are summoned to explain thier web history containing numerous blocked hits.

I constantly run into tech sites blocked under the category "Software -- Computers". I'm like, "No shit! And I keep your computers running!"

Yea, now that I think about it, yahoo's spam filter is craptastic.

I think that depends on the state laws.  Getting that information is not easy.  I'm sure the gun would have to be disabled under some kind of arms restrictions, but as far as the tank itself... you could probably get away with it in some states... I'm pretty sure Ohio has no restrictions on Tanks (except that they are not defined as vehicles) and you'd fall into a special case.  (Experimental vehicle?  Could you get it registered as a Historic or "Special Uses" vehicle?)  I know we checked on the use of antique tractors when I was younger and the only restriction was a slow moving vehicle sign and rubber pads [for steel wheels] or pneumatic tires.  Most likely, they'd restrict you to certain roads based on Gross Weight.

This man is going to be executed in slightly over an hour for a crime he didn't commit.

Here is the governor's email address: georgia.governor@gov.state.ga.us

What you do is up to you.  I'm writing a letter and then getting back into the Berkeley rally.

I don't know if he did it or not, but execution is right for no man.

Unfortunately, being an Australian without easy access to email at the moment...
