We don't sweat, either.

Women don't value family as much as men!!  Ohhhh... wait.
Surveys...

But beyond the fact that they had it rigged, it bothers me that they equated 'valuing' a family with it being the ultimate status symbol. To my mind thats both devaluing and objectification.

And why didn't women get career as an option?
For that matter, why didn't the men get to choose "A very pretty boyfriend/husband"?

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Hey now. Teaching is absolutely a career. :P

I'm not sure the makers of the survey knew that gay people even exist.

No using. That's not what freedom is for.

Why not just "a very pretty romantic partner?"

Because seriously.

Man that survey is a horrific parody of research.  One thing that's interesting...
Quote
he divorce question for men is this: Do men get screwed by the courts in divorce? The divorce question for women is: Do you think women get screwed in divorce court?
It's... impressively badly done, really.  Even ignoring the "women have opinions while men state facts" there's a clear piece of middle ground ("Neither men nor women get screwed in divorce (court)") that people giving "opposite" answers could both be standing on.

I have a question, what is the importance of this one?

Just a little piece of happiness.  Not that they're getting "just desserts" or something, just... hey, sometimes you're glad to see these programs get defunded.

Yeah, I raised this point, that male can be raped as prisoner of war, too. Nobody took it too seriously.

Kind of weird when it's one of the most common cliché on regular prisoner in the US.

I just... man.  I think I'd better step away from the computer for a little while.

Actually it seems they are. The tax code is hard to read, but I am currently not seeing why they should be exempt. I am not a lawyer or anything, but the only category they seem to fall under is "educational purposes" but they lose out there because the political bent to some articles.
