That seems to be a somewhat anti-Republican website.

That aside, it's wonderful to see that there are still people in this world who don't think that homosexuals should enjoy the same rights as heterosexuals. So very, very wonderful.

Yeah, regrettably many of the sources here are biased left.  On the other hand, many of the issues are not covered very well in the mainstream press.  I suppose all I can say is "read with caution."

Ah well. I'm a left-ist myself, so I found myself nodding away at the few articles I read from that site.

I just got into the habit of looking for two sides to an argument when I was at university, and then trying to figure out who or what I agreed with most and taking it from there.

I guess I'm just lazy, I don't like having to look for the other side of an argument without beind directed to it heh.

To be fair, you don't have to be "biased left" to be anti-Republican. Being biased toward the center is enough.

This isn't to say that centrism is necessarily good, just that the Republican party is far enough on the other side of the spectrum lately that being biased against them doesn't necessitate that a source is terribly leftist.

I don't personally believe that every source, news agency, or website should give equal credence to all beliefs anyway, even if one set of beliefs does reflect a major political party. If fifty percent of the country thought that the moon landing was faked, that doesn't mean that everyone should treat that with equal validity as the idea that they actually happened.

I mean, it would be expensive to scan and treat everyone in affected countries, but money would be saved in the long run as the vast majority of new infections with HIV would stop.

Watched the documentary Pink Saris yesterday, about casteless women in India. Or rather, about the head of some women's aid organisation for casteless women (or maybe just women, I didn't catch the beginning and so it wasn't very clear to me). Very interesting, very well done. Check it out.
