Bored of this discussion and its off topic. The american people will never lose their fixation for guns, the constitution or religious politicians.
I live in britain, where I won't get shot because some people want to hunt for sport or love planet of the apes ;)

Are we still doing the gun rights thing? Well then I might as well try to chime in.
I have been shooting in the past, and it was wonderfully relaxing. One of the most enjoyable sports I know. As such, I think people should be able to enjoy this sport like any others, and have the right to own and access firearms.
Having said that, these things are potentially very deadly weapons, and if you want to own a gun, it should be very highly regulated. Firstly you should have to belong to a registered club, and all guns you own should be kept in a safe on club grounds, with no munitions around. Keeping a gun on a residential address should be illegal.
These things should be used for sport, and outside military and police conditions, not much else.

My internet is too slow to watch videos, could you explain the content of the video yourself?

Well, not randomly if you're a youth walking next to armed police. Then they're aiming.

It's a link to the BBC report of the "suspected terrorist" who was shot 7 times in the back of the head by London Pol. Completely innocent.

Ah, so he is trying to use the spotlight fallacy. Take a single example and try and say it represents a larger trend. Very sneaky tactic.

Sadly it does represent the fact that when you have one very scared/abusive/prejudiced bloke, give him a gun and tell him to randomly stop people suspected of carrying weapons, they have a tendency to use far too much force.

More like calling Deadmeat on his use of "won't" instead of "much less likely to." :P

Err I'm afraid the likelyhood of being shot and killed, or killed, or the victim of any crime whatsoever is inumerably higher in the USA than the UK, i'll stick to the UK's record I think.

It is one indecent among many that I could use to show that the police are not your friend.

You are using the daily mail as a source of information, you clearly do not understand the British country. Anyone can take statistics out of context and use them as propaganda, the daily mail are known for this. The overall statistics on crime are known and factually show the USA inferior to the UK in crime prevention. I won't state these again.

Off topic.

Problem! The parts of the US with the lowest rates of crime are also those with the highest per capita gun ownership.

Would that be just legal weapons or both?

As for hunting - you don't hunt with handguns or machine guns. Having gun regulation does not suddenly mean nobody's allowed to hunt with guns, that's ludicrous.

Protection - you don't protect yourself with machine guns or missile launchers.

Revolution - I agree, if they're allowed to take our guns, they might try to take away our tinfoil hats next! We can't let that happen!
