Actually, I will change my vote from A to B, seeing as our away teams are doing fine at the moment.

Some more questions about our equipment:
  • Can our landers land and take off from a Earth-like planet without assistance?
  • How fast do our cars move over flat and uneven terrain?
  • How fast, maneuverable and powerful are our nuclear torpedoes (incidentally, I can't imagine that part of the spaceship construction going smoothly)
  • What is the rate of fire of our point-defense laser?
  • What refits can we make to our spaceship currently?

B, why waste time waiting?

    1: Yes
2: Fast enough? Speed of plot. Never bothered to give them an actual MPH when that can change depending on what planet they are on so fast... Well, with decent speed... in comparison with the rest of your stuff.
3: Fast, strong, and highly maneuverable... At least in comparison to your own spaceships
    4: 3 shots a combat round
5: You can reload and make the spacedock make you more shuttles.

Back to Earth

Also Order for the away team:

Send them some more supplies, and gear nessecary for creating a base inside the compound.

Is it possible to get the compound up, and running again along with an airlock so we can fill it with oxygen?

Hmm. Well, if you send them more supplies your going to start eating into your own. As for making a base on Mars... Maybe you should check to see if you've finished colony studies yet?

B.

They're fine on supplies, but let's send down a lander for the teams to share.
I'm not sure if there's a point to setting up a manufacturing station in Mars orbit instead of the asteroid belt, so let's just sell the rock to Earth.

I would like to register my agreement with Nirur Torir's plan to send a lander to our away teams and pick up the asteroid and take it to Earth.

And so you send yourself flying back to earth, down one lander, in a one day flight. Soon after you drop the Space rock off in orbit, you have orders coming in for it. Research for colony studies is almost completed, and they say they'll only need about one more day. But first.. Who do you sell the rock too?

A1 - JusticeCorp, the north american military company
B1 - Justin And Tylor, the Europe based naval construction company
C1 - Gold Dreams Incorporated, the Asian mining corporation
D1 - Black Iron Industries, the Russian civil engineering company

And do you want to...
A2. Wait X days for the research to finish
B2. Go some where?

Away team supplies are at 21/30
The Revolution has 15/15 days worth of supplies on board

Can you tell us some more about the various companies?

Also I vote A2.

JusticeCorp sounds decidedly evil.
B1. This will probably make them more powerful then the other companies, and they may get in the way later, but they'll likely build commercial freighters before the others would.

A2.

JusticeCorp, the north american military company. Known for being in the pockets of several senators, or at least for having several of them in its pockets, it tends to be seen as somewhat of a bully. Does make good gear though, and the army likes them. Is known for making the Paladin Line of Heavy Tanks, which is under consideration as the armies choice in next gen tanks.

Justin And Tylor, the Europe based naval construction company. In bed with the navy, they tend to be seen as straight shooters, and have a good rep. CEO is considering somewhat batty though. Makes the Stingray line of assault frigates, and is known to be trying to break into the submarine market.

Gold Dreams Incorporated, the Asian mining corporation. Really bad reputation these guys have, for worker exploitation and being really mean to unions. Still, they produce a huge amount of materials, and pretty much utterly dominate their local markets. Very hard on crime as well.

Black Iron Industries, the Russian civil engineering company. Utterly denies being connected to organized crime. Makes fortified bunkers and survival bunkers for rich people worried about world war 4. Very good sideline in rebuilding after disasters. Very good with the unions, as well, and has a decent rep.

Sorry for this taking so long, was traveling all of yesterday, and then busy. Will give people a little time to rethink their votes if they want to before putting the next turn up.

And so you sell the rock to Justin And Tylor, as they increase their market share with adds of 'Space Goods', and then spend the next day waiting for the scientists to finish putting the finishing touches on Colony Studies. Still, now it is complete. What to research next?

A : The Eye I recon probe. A modified torpedo that swaps out its warhead for a heavy duty sensor installation, at least for the space they had.
B : Magnetic Weapons Theory, to allow the developmental of both rail and coil weapons, which could prove useful in both ship and infantry scale
C : Laser Weapon Theory, As it never proved needed to iron out these last few bugs with the current ship design, powerful ship to ship lasers are still undesignable. This could be fixed.
D : Prefab Space Station, the study of ways to fit a full, if small, space station into your cargo hold
E : Scoop Device, the suggested European invention for gaining supplies from gas giants.
F : Ground to Space Defense : A study of how our colonies might defend themselves against any theoretical enemies.

And also... Should you set out to make a colony somewhere? If so, where?
