You are Alexander Namic, of the N.aturally U.nited N.avy S.hip Revolution, which was built to the North American design.

The Revolution is equipped with two forward facing torpedo tubes, and an ammo bay with twenty powerful nuclear torpedoes loaded within. It also has a low power but rapid fire defense laser, theoretically suitable for destroying enemy missiles and fighters, but is too weak to normally be useful ship to ship. Theoretically. It has a extra high powered sensor, allowing for faster scanning, and twice the engine power of the other designs. It carries a Grav-Drive wrested from a ruined alien relic in an undisclosed location, but it is estimated that a round trip to the nearest star will take at least three months, not counting time spent doing stuff there, and you only have on board supplies for half a month, or 15 days.

You are in command. Where do you want to go? It is estimated that traveling between each orbital ring will take between one to two days, half the time as the other designs.
A : Mercury
B : Venus
C : Earth
D : Mars
E : Asteroid Belt
F :  Jupiter
G : Saturn
H : Uranus
I : Neptune
J : Pluto
K : Oort Cloud

What do you request the labs research while you are gone? There were a few designs and theories put off to finish the ship, and they could be completed with high speed. They'll probably take about a week to get done with the first one.

A : The Eye I recon probe. A modified torpedo that swaps out its warhead for a heavy duty sensor installation, at least for the space they had.
B : Magnetic Weapons Theory, to allow the developmental of both rail and coil weapons, which could prove useful in both ship and infantry scale
C : Laser Weapon Theory, As it never proved needed to iron out these last few bugs with the current ship design, powerful ship to ship lasers are still undesignable. This could be fixed.
D : Prefab Space Station, the study of ways to fit a full, if small, space station into your cargo hold
E : Colony Study, the planning of interstellar colonies, but experts say they will need more information on other planets and potential colony sites to begin this.
F : Scoop Device, the suggested European invention for gaining supplies from gas giants.
G : Space Defense studies, research into the ways space is deadly and how to keep you and your crew from dying.

The Revolution has 15/15 days worth of supplies on board
It has a full crew
It is at Earth Orbit

What are these "supplies?" Is it mostly food, theoretically allowing us to visit Alpha Centauri and return if we use a skeleton crew and shove supplies into every available space? (After researching shielding, of course. Although come to think of it, couldn't we just strap crates of supplies to the side of the Revolution? Not that we'd necessarily even want to do that without exploring the Solar System first.)
How many technicians are onboard, 20 or 30?

Supplies is a fuzzy term containing everything between food and air to the needed parts to do the normal everyday maintenance on machinery that is being used everyday. And Fuel of course. Fuel is normaly the first thing to run out, with air being a close second. The Gas Giant scoop doesn't just let you get fuel, but you can also pull water and oxygen out of it. You'll still run out of parts someday, but it would increase your range by a fair amount. And yes, giant strap on supply tanks is one of the ways to get interstellar.

And 30 techs. Fixing typo now.

And so you go flying off to mars, riding on a wave of rocket flame and handwavium, taking only a single day to get there. You then spend another day scanning it and its moons. You get more then enough information to start a colony study, but the more you have, the better it would go. You have detected some strange magnetic signals on Deimos, and two landing sites on mars that the science crew have requested a landing at for the purposes of Science!

A: Send a lander to Deimos
B: Land at site 1
C: Land at site 2
D: Leave orbit and go somewhere else

A: Send a lander to Deimos

It seems more interesting than the other sites

(Send a mixture of Military and Science.)

A.

I vote we stay until surveying each site, but we might get some interesting technology from Deimos that's worth turning back early for.

D: Leave orbit and go somewhere else
Towards the Sun!
We do not have the technology to colonize the Sun!

Alexander Namic peers over his pilot's shoulder as they come down for a landing on the closest open spot next to the weird signals, a full crew on the lander and two cars hosted underneath. "Sooooo... Are we there yet?" The trip is shortly disturbed by the thump of the pilot attempting to put hit face through the wheel.

4 Military Crew... with swords, as their guns do not work in this atmosphere
4 Science Crew
2 Technical Crew
You

A: Go the fast path to the signal, no more then five minutes, through the rough terrain, but be forced to leave the cars behind
B: Take the long path, fifteen minutes, but do them in the cars
C: Go back up to the ship

These cars must have claws to claw themselves to the ground... Deimos is practically a rock.

B, but move the spaceship above the cars in case of anything silly going on.

And so you drive off, hosting your swords, the only weapons you have that work in this atmosphere, on your belts as you go, bravely exploring the unknown.. Well, till you find a big hole in the ground, right in your way and to big to easily drive around

A : The Military suggests jumping over the pit.
B : The techs suggest blowing up a nearby pillar to make a bridge
C : The Scientists suggest setting up a prefab they can send the the lander up for, though you'll have to wait a while for that.

4 Military
4 Science
2 Techs
