There can be only one. Once Steam defeats Origin it will then gain its powers, powers which it already had.

But better
And if not better, then they'll be at least be +1 powers instead of the normal ones right now.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

...

Steam is better hands down, and they could theoretically be even better after defeating origin.

I welcome the competition between steam and origin, either origin does well and prices come down on both steam and origin, or origin sucks and nothing happens.

Welp, looks like I may have to eat my words.

I can think of only one game I care about from EA, and it irks me it's going to be squarely in the middle of EA trying to cut out Steam.

I honestly feel bad for the Developers of "Origin Only" games. It just seems wrong that they have to suffer because EA wants to get into a fistfight with Steam.

I didn't realize Alice: Madness Returns was being published by EA. I am pretty disappointed right now. I like to think Origins will fail and Steam will return to being the bountiful wonderland that I generally view it to be, but I suspect that it'll be more along the lines of Origin having mediocre success while still violently clinging to every exclusive title it can get it's grip around (Which will be quite a few).

Only way to call it competition is if Origin carries off-brand stuff and prices it competitively.  Tons of it and cheaply.   Otherwise, it'll be like Blizzard's Battle.net.... at best, but more likely worse.

EA online distribu-

LOLNO.

As far as I'm concerned, the only viable competitor to Steam and Valve is Stardock, and they're awesome for somewhat different reasons, so there isn't even much competition there.

Also, "Hey, we're a massive corporation that has a reputation for screwing people over. Can we scan your computer?"

Apart from the obvious reasons, I don't want to give some tech a heart attack with my porn.  ;D

Origin is a fail idea. EA ruins almost everything it touches.
