I'm not trying to break the game, I used that example to illustrate how easy the game is after someone else said that there are consequences for shooting people. In my eight grade English class, my English teacher was all about reading for comprehension. Somehow, the comprehension on these forums is subpar.
As for slaughtering the city, sometimes you "accidentally" shoot a cop. There should be a price to pay for that. After you take out the maybe 6 or 8 guys that come after you, you are free and clear in that zone.
it's like this:
Oh look, the Belltower guys are guarding that building, better sneak in (not really, I could just pick them off one by one with my pistol). So ok, I sneak in, all the way in. I dont kill a soul and get what I want, then sneak all the way back out. PERFECT. OK, so I spent all my points on hacking and stealth so thats the way I should be playing, right?
Well, I just turn around and shoot my way in there. Kill them all with my 10mm pistol without taking a single hit. I havent spent any points on combat skills. Ok so, Belltwoer guys are easy, how about the next mission? All the same. Regardless of how I spent my points I can just walk in and mow heavily armored and armed soldiers down with my 10mm pistol, piece of cake.
I bet I could spend no praxis points at all and still be able to mow my way in with a 10mm pistol. For me, that makes me wonder about the aug system.
I guess I just want more of a challenge, because see, I am not good at FPS game by any standards. I get my ass handed to me all the time in any FPS game, I just plain suck.
Regardless of what I say, I will be dubbed a complainer or a hater because rabid fan over-defensiveness. It's a great game, but it would have been pretty easy to up the difficulty a bit, have unlimited soldiers spawn in a zone as I keep killing them, have some sort of heat where you become wanted by local police so you HAVE TO SNEAK. These would not have been hard things to add to the game.
TL;DR : Awesome game, I feel like it was money well spent. I have honest criticism on the difficulty and so forth, which upsets other people.
