Overpowered?
Nah, it'd probably go down in one hit to a 1/4 effective from a pokemon half its level.

So, I'm just throwing this out there, this is somewhat awesome. And thanks to this, I've decided to finally do a nuzlocke run on my Heart Gold, and the only reason I don't restart Black is because of all my pokčmon :P Anyway, I really hope I don't suck at this.

Posting to follow.

Also, I tried to nuzlocke White Version in hard mode (no fleeing, no medicine pouch, every lost battle is game over, and if L is the highest level of Pokémon you have battled so far, you may not train your Pokémon to a level higher than both L+5 and L*1.25, otherwise it dies).

I lost five Pokémon in the fourth gym and got ambushed by Cheren before I could reach new grass. Duh.

Heh, now I'm doing my own nuzelock run on Crystal, because I've never played it before. Fun times.

Unfortunately, I've still got more pokemon than I know what to do with, and I've managed a 0% immortality rate, but two zubats and two spinaraks does not valuable diversity make. o_o

Though by god there have been a couple of terrifying close calls... almost lost my starter in the first gym, and had my full team of six all down to the yellow in the second one. Luckily, potions and quick thinking and swapping have seen me through, but I'm going to have to be more careful...

(Also, I probably got lucky by only killing one area before I got pokeballs. Can't believe I made it through all that grass without kicking up a fight. Phew, +1 pokemons for me)

I have actually failed all three Crystal Nuzlockes I've attempted- that second rival fight is a killer, and- well, I won't ruin the surprise :D

Anywho, not dead, update coming, yadda yadda yadda, did I mention the bisque?

Well, I've got essentially a full back up team in the box at this point, and while the second rival fight was a bit of a surprise, it didn't give me any trouble. My Zubat is doing absolutely amazing so far at wrecking heads.

If there's another surprise coming up, we'll see how it goes though. It isn't like some sort of cheap scripted team-wipe is it? I could recover from that with the team I've got in the box, but it wouldn't be fun... I'd be down to three pokemon (names: Redundancy, Preparation, Failsafe), but there's another Zubat in there at least...

Eh, we'll see how it goes!

Do these stupid Spinaraks I've caught eventually become not terrible though? At least it finally learned nightshade, but by god I'm not looking forward to leveling the other one if I eventually need to...
