Maybe, maybe not...You also have manufacturing tech i dont have

Then again, without Gen 2 myself. I dont think i want to give you a ludacris amount of production power for so little gain

Well, you distributed manuf. Tech doesn't give so much gain. It only allow you to recruit using border provinces without risk of your new troops being overrun. Or does it allow you to draw from wild provinces?

it turns my capital into 3x the production power. Its a rediculous amount of production increase. I have an excel spreadsheet set up for calc'ing it all based on logistics, econ and manu research per province.

As you said, the advantage comes in using interior areas to output more than they could normally - without fear of them getting gutted by a random strike

it turns my capital into 3x the production power. Its a rediculous amount of production increase.

The problem with distributed manufacturing is that you sacrifice total manufacturing power for individual manufacturing power. Your capital may have 3x the production power, but the provinces around it have less. If you were to spread unit production evenly over your provinces, you would be able to produce much more. Unless you reach rank 10 in logistics, in which case there is completely no downside.

True, but with it i can also epically abuse landforms...like the dry dock caves i have

How could you abuse the dry dock caves? The bonus only applies to a province that has it only when it is building sea units. Distributed manufacturing would only have an effect if you were to direct production to that province and only built sea units in that province.

And yes, while as a whole i can produce better using every province, in a war you cant use your outliers safely. This way you can still produce more without any risk.

And yes, thats the point. The province WITH the drydock can now crank out 3x the units it could normally - provided i needed a navy. Sure i can use the adjacent ones for anything else but the tech was meant as a "i need x units NOW, safely"

This is amusing to watch. Mmm, I should have warned you not to trust CG Sheb, he's a opportunist, but it seems you were expecting it in any case so no worries.
