To be fair, a fair amount of IC governments are dictatorships, they'd probably invest in that kind of tech to stop dissidents and other rabblerousers.

Well, every turn is a whole year. It doesn't take a genius to follow walking troops, or to notice that you've started recruiting and ordered a division's worth of tank, if you take no precaution hiding it.

They probably would. But they have not.

No, but the orders come in before the year stats, and it does take a genius to notice they will do  such things before they started.

Well, right enough. Although troops movement could be followed.

But anyway, RP shouldn't play a part in whether we post turns or not, with or without tech. It's a game mechanic. I'm actually supportive of hiding troops movements (although espionnage should give access to the orders you PMed.) but troop build-up should be public.

Except USEC just stated that you can recruit by PM. :p

And as you've said, the entire deal (and every deal in this game) is based on trust. And if you actually paid as much attention to the mechanics as you seem to think you do, you'd know i couldn't recruit either way.

I want that colonization tech, you want an allied empire against the world. There's only one way we get what we want.

(although espionnage should give access to the orders you PMed.)

ggamer thought the same thing, so I added a two espionage missions specifically for decoding PMs.

One requires EPs and is harder the second time if you succeed, but you'll know the full PM.
The other costs only money and always succeeds, but the PM will probably be scrambled in some way, limiting its usefulness.

Both of them have their uses, and both of them allow you to see someone's PMs. Sound good?

@Sheb: You get nitria back when i get colonization research, fair trade

Terenos would use it to gloat, and stomp me on principle. We're friends, but he'll kick my ass for giggles. There's a reason we started across from eachother and not next to eachother. We'd both kill eachother if it was of profit.

I will win through peace, harmony, and/or massive amounts of money once I manage to get it.
