Haspen, one thing I (and I think most other people) would appreciate would be if you listed the NPC locations on signs at spawn. If they really have to be scattered across the map, it'd be nice to be able to know where they are without digging through however many pages will have accumulated on this thread to find that guide you wrote.

Doesn't really help since NPC's can die and move away at any moment.

I know that the merchant is sitting in a room at the top of the map.

They'll only die if people are messing around near them with dangerous materials or let mobs spawn near enough to kill them, and as they're mostly in isolated locations, chances are they won't die for quite a while.

NPC opens door -> NPC hides inside the open room during the night -> Zombie eats the NPC's brain

Setting aside the question of "will the NPCs die where they currently are", I'd like to ask something else. How does "The NPCs will die sooner or later" equate to "Let's not do anything to let people know where NPCs are"?

I personally don't agree with moving the NPCs to these scattered areas in what I guess was an attempt to increase RP potential for the world, but I'm not going to complain about it, because I can take the effort to hop over to one of my worlds for ten seconds, but some people don't have all the NPCs in SP, and this probably screws with them quite a bit, particularly as the only hint as to their location is already more than a page back in the thread, and it isn't exactly easy to search through every inch of a Large world (even the aboveground areas only) to find a NPC.

Errr, nope.

NPC's were all at spawn, but due to goblin invasions/frost legions and, IIRC, Destroyer, most/all of them got slaughtered. The Tshock restrictions were on already so they spawned in random places and no one was able to put them back at spawn.

ALSO, ADDED 5 4 BOOKS TO SIGNBOOK LIBRARY! :D

1. Invocation of Azura
2. How Orsinium Passed to the Orcs
3. Lives of the Saints
4. Night Falls on Sentinel

Out of curiousity, who keeps calling Steelgreat (The starting town) Steelport on the Minecraft server? Because I clearly named it SteelGREAT and I would like to personally kill the derp who thought it was Steelgreat. EVEN AFTER I put it up on the Message board that the Town was called Steelgreat, and not Steelport.

I think it started waaaay back. Even Kael called it that once, I think. But it's just a name, it shouldn't matter that much.
Speaking of that place, were the buildings a generated town or were they handmade?

Hmm... WIll we be having a new map for the new year?

No.

Most often we get new map if:

A) Someone totally screws over the map.
B) New version of Terraria is released with a lot of new content.

I think he means a new, updated Map Viewer map. Seriously, there's been a lot of things I haven't been to here, and a new (map viewer) map would help.

Dammit, I already made that mistake once.

Yeesh. Yeah, I meant map image.

As Haspen already said, the NPCs were moved around because of monsters. Nobody knows where most of them are now, and even if someone did, it would be futile because eventually, an NPC is going to be killed after being visited too much (monsters spawning, bosses.).

You'll have to ask Kael to alter/remove the NPC relocation restrictions, if that can be done, or ask him to move everyone back to spawn.

The First Travel Guide of Kaelserver!
The donation center was constructed by me on an older character, Lillian. One of the cobalt skybases belongs to me(the small one with the bed and the magma+water replicators).
Edit:Also, the clothier is in one of the rooms of the blue guild.
