Just the vilethorn can truly go through walls. The rest of them are glitchy things and can be prevented by making walls two thick. If you get killed because they shoot you through a wall it is your fault at that point though I don't think anyone built their stuff with this in mind so whatever.

Whoever borked the middle of atlantis with the goddamn drill thing have one day to fix the damage.

More on the sign down there and be thankful that we only installed traps instead of griefing whole drill.

This is obvious grief - a bunch of pearlstone bricks were missing as well, not to mention few places lacking sand support.

Athleri came up with the concept and planned it completely, Wymar, Lillian (I think), and I all helped in various areas. Hm, I don't really know who is actually who in-game. I need to add y'all on Steam.

No explosive traps.
No spikes.
No lava.
No traps utilizing sand/silt/tiles that are affected by gravity as the primary mechanism. It's too easy to set up a cobweb entrance and bury the statue under 500 tiles of sand.

If you're going to summon a boss, use Skeleprime. It'll double as a timer and kill everyone when the night is up.

I can agree with burying the base though, that is kind of...

How about allowing gravity-affected blocks to be dug?

Athleri is my single-player character, by the way. I made a multi-player character, but haven't really used him much (I like having my high-level equipment!) I planned out the initial blueprint, made the frame of the structure, and did most of the wiring, Wymar did most of the heavy lifting (read: backwalls) and provided a lot of the materials, and Geneva reworked the upper corridor and environment modules, came up with the idea of having a space elevator, and was building it prior to being banned. There were a couple other people helping on and off, but I sadly can't remember who they were or what exactly they did! (though I think Lillian was offline at the time)

ALSO: BayStation 12 needs upgraded! There were a few components that didn't pan out as they should've, and the design in general just didn't leave much room for expansion.

To encourage discussion and collaboration, here is the blueprint for the current BayStation (updated from the original blueprint):

FAKEEDIT: If you don't have the tools to circumvent magma or spikes, you might want to stay in a skirmish or defensive role, rather than an assault role.  :P

REALEDIT: Turns out that the space limit line is about 13 tiles higher than I thought it was (about in line with the Security Station chain lamps), giving even less room to fit the station in orbit.

I'd agree with banning explosive traps and the use of sand traps in the statue room or main entrance, but spikes and magma aren't exactly difficult to traverse. Even a gold-tier character should be able to deal with them, though I wouldn't be opposed to setting a limit on the total number of spikes/magma tiles allowed in a base, and their specific applications, because a massive pit of magma or rooms coated with spikes are a bit extreme in comparison to a few spikes in the floor or a trapdoor into a small magma hole.

HELP!
 
I was at the dungeon exploring, finished, blew myself up with a bomb, respawned in red base, took a swipe at an annoying bat, and FORGOT TO SWITCH WEAPONS!
 
The mimic trap is ruined. I tried to fix it but the chest statue became an armour one. Help?
