Blaze, are you X in game?  I've been bombing more parts to the right of the tunnel for future expansion.  I REALLY like to play with bombs,, dunno why.

Right now I'm still getting more glass for the walls, I've got more than enough silver blocks.

The only problem is what to build there. All rooms would be boring, the mushroom farm is already large enough, trees don't grow underground, without a demolitionist I can't make a bone serpent farm. Is there anything worthwhile in making corruption?

Maybe I'll just port the maze of inevitable despair from DF into Terraria, but then I'd need craploads of spikes.

You would need to knock out a section of wall all the way down to it, as you can't remove underground walls that aren't touching the 'surface', i.e. a spot where the sky is visible.

You can't "knock down" the deep underground wall, because there is no deep underground wall. Once you're past the monotonous brown of the upper dirt layer, everything you see is a "backdrop" - it's not a wall, it doesn't stop walls from being built, and it can't be knocked out.

And even if you could knock out deep walls, all natural walls you knock out disappear without leaving a placeable item. So, no way to make a surface jungle.

How many spikes? I have 174 from going through Hellspire Keep and I could go back and get more pretty easily.

There's a lot of them in Hellspire Keep.

Probably more than you would ever need an insane amount if you stripped the spikes from the exterior.
