Athleri came up with the concept and planned it completely, Wymar, Lillian (I think), and I all helped in various areas. Hm, I don't really know who is actually who in-game. I need to add y'all on Steam.
Athleri is my single-player character, by the way. I made a multi-player character, but haven't really used him much (I like having my high-level equipment!) I planned out the initial blueprint, made the frame of the structure, and did most of the wiring, Wymar did most of the heavy lifting (read: backwalls) and provided a lot of the materials, and Geneva reworked the upper corridor and environment modules, came up with the idea of having a space elevator, and was building it prior to being banned. There were a couple other people helping on and off, but I sadly can't remember who they were or what exactly they did! (though I think Lillian was offline at the time)
ALSO: BayStation 12 needs upgraded! There were a few components that didn't pan out as they should've, and the design in general just didn't leave much room for expansion.
To encourage discussion and collaboration, here is the blueprint for the current BayStation (updated from the original blueprint):

Anyone who would like to help, feel free to propose changes/new blueprints (I made this in Paint.net pixel-by-pixel after an initial sketch, so it's 1 pixel/tile)
I've already started work on my own proposition for BS12 v2, which I'll post up shortly*, of which features include:
- +500% More Magma (at least)!
-A much more efficient airlock (Complete with magma flooding)!
-Completely overhauled manufacturing level (Much Larger and Higher-Tech! More Magma!)
-Medical Bay and Danger Rooms (No magma in the former, plenty in the latter)
- +100% more Habitation Modules! (may or may not include magma)
-Room for further expansion (Probably)
-Less clearance at the top of the map, to fit the entire station in the space biome!
*sometime between an hour from now and the heat death of the universeFAKEEDIT: If you don't have the tools to circumvent magma or spikes, you might want to stay in a skirmish or defensive role, rather than an assault role.
REALEDIT: Turns out that the space limit line is about 13 tiles higher than I thought it was (about in line with the Security Station chain lamps), giving even less room to fit the station in orbit.
