Collecting turns: Scriver: Clean fish(14). Cook fish, lobster, and clams(3)
You make quick work of the fish, even without a boning or filet knife. There really are no cooking utensils at all, so you off one of the lobsters, hack open the clams, chunk up all the seafood (except for one of the lobsters, which is still alive and kicking in Choobakka's bucket), and make kebabs (using some thinner, pointy sticks from the pile) from the lot of it. You only manage to get three kebabs, but they are quite tasty looking. The shells from the clams and the lobster go in the cache. Maybe someone can use them for something.
Choobakka, Darvi and Askot: Butcher deer (4+1+4=9)
Butchering the deer takes a long, long time as you decide what's good and what isn't. Askot carefully takes everything he needs and lays it out in a drier spot. Choobakka manages to get most of the hide off in one large piece. However, the deer hair makes everyone very itchy while you are handling it. While Darvi is helping set stuff up to dry, Choobakka and Askot set on cutting stuff with the knife that Scriver used to clean the fish with (as they don't want to use the rusty one.) You get various chunks of meat, numerous pieces of offal that are fit to eat. The rest gets buried away from camp.
Darvi: Cook lunch (3)
You take 6 nice cuts of meat, and begin cooking them as best you can on a few sticks. They wind up somewhat dry, but still very edible. You look at the pile of meat and despair a little bit. There's just so much of it left...
Sonerohi: Make a fence/windbreak(4)
You gather up the thorny vines and all of the boards left in the pile. From there, you manage to spend the rest of the morning drooling over darvi's meat being cooked, and making your windbreak. It is a four foot square, and very rough. It isn't especially windproof, but it'll provide some shelter.
Askot: Hunt sapling(4)
You head off west with the hatchet, past where you found the fallen tree. It takes you a couple of hours, but you find a nice, springy yew sapling. You cut it down, strip the branches off of it quickly and quietly. There are animal tracks and scents everywhere in this area, including a set of huge hoof prints, almost 9 inches long. Many of the trees in the area that you found the sapling in are stripped of bark on one side up to about 8 feet or so. You cautiously head back to camp with your sapling in hand.
Burnt Pies: Make a roasting spit (3)
You grab a fairly straight large stick, sharpen one on one end with the rusty knife, and fashion a handle on the other end. You spend almost all morning hunting down your support sticks, but eventually find them. After that, you dig small holes on either side of the fire pit, and set up your roasting spit semi-permanently.

There is a very stiff breeze. It begins to rain. The rain is very cold. It warms up to about 50F.
As it begins to rain, a shivering man in a military uniform drags himself into the clearing, and passes out. He has minor cuts on his arms and face. You recognize him from the gathering.
