As soon as it gets light enough to travel, I take 3 fishing lines, including the one already hooked, a pocketfull of lures, my fishing-stick, and the wooden spade and get moving back towards the beach. On my way over, I look for any places where the earth seems dark and rich, to dig for worms and such in (I store them in my other pocket). After I made my way to the good fishing spot, I assemble the fishing pole and start fishing, baiting with worms if the lures don't work by themselves. Fishing time!
If I have to, I use my clothes to carry the fish back in, rather than risking the strings breaking from their combined weight.

The extra strings and hooks were brought in case the others break or is stolen by the fish. I might also have to refine the pole with a float and a sinker, but that'll have to wait.

Ooc; I would like to specify my clothes as jeans, t-shirt and a zipper'd hoodie. Wet clothes and sandy underwear is not what I wear casually ;)

Grab the sling, a handful of rocks, and help Darvi brain some rabbits.

We will win this island guys. I heard so in a dream.

Point out to Askot where I found the bark I used to make the line, then take the Hatchet and go exploring inland.

Chess on a rollercoaster?

See? Staying up later than everyone else has advantages. Who got the best sleep? Me. That's who.
After I eat some berries, I'll begin to cut up the deer carcass. I'll wash off a board first to put some of the meat on.

i help the choo cut up the deer carcass, saving the hide, sinew and the intestines for cordage, then i clean and rinse them and leave them to dry. i then take the ax and go look for a young pine to fell(unless i find another type of tree, anything should be better than pine).

Fist bump with Darvi, first of all. After that,I'll see about accruing some wooden stakes and branches, and weaving up a fence/windbreak.

Return to camp, whistling joyously. Put all the stuff I took down, show my new findings to the others. Seat next to the river and clean the fish with the new KA-BAr. Prepare a lobster-and-trout lunch over the fire. Berries can be served at the side

Hey guys, look at this!
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Anyway, I think its obvious the rations should be saved for later, when me might not have a damned deer to eat (you guys just had to 30-up me, didn't you). I kinda suspect that the package was left there for us. Possibly, the other skeleton ended up here through the same circumstances as we did.

I have to look up how or if clams are prepared too, as I realised I had no idea. Might add it later, if I have time.

And cans labled Sterno? Never have it been more obvius that they are Russian. Russian Commie American Werebear Manhunters with triangular feet, judged from what we've seen so far.

Reciprocate fistbump. Start cooking lunch.

And by cooking I mean cut it first and then start roasting it because people apparently don't get what I mean.

Heh, somehow I missed Askot's and sonerohi's posts when I wrote mine. Strange.

Anyway, having looked up clams, turns out I can cook them in whatever way is suitable for us. Nice.

...You're not going to try to cook the unbutcheredchopped-up (?) deer, are you? :P

There's Bears in them thar hills!

Seriously, we want to watch out for them.

I'll see about making one of those spits you see in the movies: two forked sticks, one on each side of the fire, with a third stick in between to hang meat/pots/drying stuff over the fire.

Heh, I just had this funny image in my head of you trying to drag the whole deer to the fire while the others are trying to dis-meat it, and, well... I guess that's what I actually should have said to begin with ;)
