(Two phases in one day? Holy crap, guys. It's a good thing I had the day off!)
Scriver: Dig for bait(19!). Go fishing(4).
There are several large patches of fertile soil inside the clearing, and you spend about an hour collecting various earthworms and moth larva. You stuff your pocket full of wriggling creepy crawlies, and then head to the shore. You walk down the beach and spot a bright orange thing bobbing up and down in the surf. You put your pole together, and eventually snag it with your lure/hook. You pull it to shore, and find that it contains 5 MREs with cans labelled "Sterno", a KA-BAR knife, a sharp, barbed chain with finger loops on either side, a first aid kit, a package of waterproof matches, and an LED flashlight. The package itself is a hunting orange backpack. You sling it over your shoulder, and walk down to your fishing spot, spending the rest of the morning catching a couple of lobsters, digging up a couple of clams, and hauling in a small (4lb) trout. All in all, your fishing trip was fairly successful.
Darvi and Sonerohi: Hunt(7+2=9).
The two of you gather your weapons, and head north, to where Darvi spotted the rabbits. As you creep north, you spot several birds' nests, and you get to the large hill covered in bramble bushes where Darvi got the berries. From there, you make your way east, following the tracks of smaller animals. Over the next hour or so, you find that you have been walking in circles! So, you gather your bearings, figure out where you probably are, and continue hunting. You find no rabbits, but instead find a very small four point deer grazing on the lowest hanging parts of pine trees. You take a position and wait until it comes closer. After a while, it meanders toward you, and Sonerohi looses a stone to the head of the deer, stunning it for just long enough for Darvi to strike with his makeshift spear. He solidly stabs the deer in the chest, and hangs on for dear life. That seemed to do the trick, as the deer rears up on its hind legs, ripping the spear from Darvi's hands, and then collapses onto its chest, forcing the spear farther in. The two of you spend the rest of the afternoon hauling the deer back to camp.
Choobakka: Sleep.
You wait until everyone piles out from under the lean-to and proceed to lay claim to their comfiest spot. You dream of the dizzying heights and tactical maneuvers of playing chess on a rollercoaster.
Askot: Finish resting. Check bark thread, go collect more(4).
You hang out a while by the fire, munching on berries and talking to Burnt Pies. She tells the location where she found the material for her thread, and then heads off north with the hatchet. You inspect her handiwork, finding that those cords she made would only make a bowstring proper with some reinforcement, but would do very well with average applications, like tying branches and logs together. You feel like you may wind up needing some sinew to make the best bowstring you possibly could. You head out to the location she's given you, and sure enough, there is a fallen tree with a patch of bark stripped off of it. You tear the bark farther back and collect a few large chunks of the fibrous material before you make the slow walk back to camp.
Burnt Pies: Talk to Askot. Explore inland(4,Calm).
You walk over to the cache to grab the hatchet, and Askot asks you where you got the stuff to make your fishing lines. You tell him, drawing instructions in the dark dirt as best you can, and then head north. After a while, you come to a large hill covered in bramble bushes that have the pink/orange berries that Darvi brought back. You decide to go west from there. The terrain starts to get rocky, and go uphill. After about an hour, you notice a bunch of triangle shaped tracks headed the same way you are. Most of them are very small, almost the size of a human toddler's, but the larger ones are very large, almost a foot long, and half as wide. You continue up the slope, and peek over the crest of the hill to see that the hill continues upward after this ridge (you're about 30 feet up by now,) and that there is a large hole dug into the side. Outside the hole, there are a few small, brown, furry quadripeds that are the size of large, heavy dogs. You deduce that they are bear cubs. You stay calm, and head back down the hillside quietly, attempting to erase your tracks as you go. As you head down the hill, you hear a very faint sound that is similar to drums in the distance. After you feel that you are sufficiently down the hill, you sprint back to camp. Out of breath, you collapse next to the spring for a moment.
Cache: 3 thorny vines, 14 large branches, 16 rough boards, small rusty metal box [100 rusty nails], 10 logs, very old weatherworn military issue boots (no laces), rusty hatchet, rusty ka-bar knife, rusty spade, wooden spade, fist sized lump of magnetite, 30 basalt pebbles, 3 fist-sized pieces of basalt, firewood and tinder (4 days), 20 bone fishing lures/hooks (1 strung), 4 fishing lines, 3 large patches of fibrous material.
Food: small basket worth of salmonberries, 2 live lobsters, 3 clams, small trout(unprocessed), small deer(unprocessed).
