I was assuming that I'd be dealing with some pretty serious hypothermia and muscle fatigue, actually.
I'm not going to kill you right off the bat.
Choobakka and Scriver: Aid Strife (4+2=6). Strife: Rest
You help Strife to the lean-to, where Darvi is already sleeping, having polished off half the berries (not that there were many left.) Choobakka whips out the newfound first aid kit and goes to work as best he can with direction from Strife. Scriver grabs some food for the three of them, and everyone exchanges stories. Apparently, Strife doesn't remember much about being at sea except for the sound of drums in the distant fog. That, and the couple of times he found some sharp rocks. He does, however, still have his glasses and a pad of waterproof paper, as well as a couple of pencils. Eventually, Strife drifts off to sleep in the warm lean-to. Strife mumbles something in his sleep about stir-fried zombies.
Darvi: Rest (Small Eater).
You are more interested in food at this point than any new arrivals on the island. You lie on your back under the lean-to and listen to the rain. That sound, combined with the warmth of the fire, puts you to sleep quickly. You dream of dancing with some superstar and a pony on a stage made of rainbows.
Sonerohi and Burnt Pies: Gather stuff and take to lean-to (3+2=5).
It takes a while, but nothing gets ruined, and everything gets hauled to the lean-to. For giggles, you decide to build a wall of stuff around Darvi, who is sleeping so soundly that he doesn't notice. After you've had your fun, you find a nice dry spot and get to work.
Sonerohi: Sharpen deer bones (21!!, In the Zone).
You gather many of the large bones and the sharp ka-bar. Askot starts to say something to you, but you put your head down and focus. The world slips away from you as you whittle the bones into a pile of points, making a lot more tools than you set out to originally. Eventually, you have to stop because of cramps in your hands, but not after you've plowed through 6 long and 5 short bones.
You feel as if you understand crafting better!
Askot: Make bow (28!!).
You start to talk to Sonerohi about the finer points of making points, but he slips away from you and becomes absorbed in his work. You may as well do the same, you figure. It only feels as though it takes a moment, but you have a very nice engraved yew longbow at the end of the day. You can't wait for the sinew to dry out so that you can string your new bow.
Burnt Pies: Weave string(6, Improvising).
You don't really remember what came over you as you made the first string, but this time around, it's a lot harder! You manage to wind together three very long cords from the bushy mass, and then braid them all together to make a strong cord that is about 5 feet long. It takes you all afternoon, and your fingers are tired and sore, but you feel that the reward is well worth it.
Cache: 5 foot long braided cord, longbow (unstrung), 2 thin bone knives, 4 bone spearheads, 1 bone axehead, 5 bone needles, 25 bone arrowheads, 5 cans labeled "Sterno", 14 large branches, small rusty metal box [100 rusty nails], 10 logs, very old weatherworn military issue boots (no laces), rusty hatchet, bright orange waterproof backpack, sharp steel ka-bar knife, barbed chain, first aid kit, waterproof matches, LED Flashlight, rusty ka-bar knife, rusty spade, wooden spade, fist sized lump of magnetite, 30 basalt pebbles, 3 fist-sized pieces of basalt, firewood and tinder (3 days), 20 bone fishing lures/hooks (1 strung), 4 fishing lines, 3 large patches of fibrous material, 6 small half shells, 3 pieces of lobster shell, 2 lobster claws, drying deer hide, 6 large deer bones, 1 deer skull w/antlers, 25 small deer bones, 4 deer hooves, and 9 lengths of deer sinew.
