Oh, you think the Men of War voices are bad, you haven't played Soldiers: Heroes of World War 2, have you? Soldiers: HoWW2 is the original game that spawned Faces of War and Men of War. Some of the lines in that game blurted out by infantry men in the heat of combat will make you laugh.

It seems to me that games made by Russians always tend to have really bad voice acting.

Games by Eastern Europeans in general.

ArmA+ ArmA2 by BI - the Americans are sometimes obviously some Czech guy trying really hard.

Stalker - goodness I would definitely rather listen to Russian with subtitles than the ridiculous accents in English that make me want to stab my eardrums.

Really? Because whilst Men Of War's strange accenting of various words is painful, and ARMA is unspeakable due to that and shoving sentences together, STALKER never ceases to amuse me.

You've only played SoC, Jackrabbit. Where the translation was actually half decent.

CoP's english translation is comically horrible.
At the very least you never told me you finally moved onto CoP ;~;

I never really did, I only played the first five minutes. I will eventually.

AIM IS IN THE REACH ZONE.

I'll stick with my "Enemy TEE SEVENTY TWO at ZERO NINE FIVE, three hundred meters. BEEDEEP".

Honestly those fond of the series find it endearing. Those who don't aren't true Scotsmen.

I actually never could get that into ARMA, even aside from the voice acting, go figure.

I do find it amusing Americans occasionally shout "FOR UNCLE SAM" or, even more amusingly, "FOR THE MOTHERLAND!"
I think they forgot which nationality they were portraying for a minute there.

BTW in the game, is it possible to somehow see how far you can throw a grenade. Way too often when I order one to be thrown from cover, one soldier runs to the crossfire in the middle of some field and dies  ::)

Yeah, unless you're in a position where the enemy can't fire on you, always throw grenades yourself. Situations where the grenadier runs into a killzone, stands there for a second, pulls out his grenade, stares at it for another second and then throws it are the exception and not the rule for the sole reason that he tends to get killed during the 'runs into a killzone' part.

Yes, always throw grenades yourself. Or else your soldier is going to run around like a moron without actually throwing the grenade then gets mowed down by MG fire.

Just pirated it to see if it's fun...
WHY DON'T YOU DO WHAT I SAY!!! aargh...
When I tell you t0 throw a grenade dont walk with the whole squad to the enemy to just die >.>
And when I tell you to rush to the sniper to zerg rush him, you are not supposed to hide in the bushes...

This really isn't my type of game apparently. :P
