Battle Field BC2: VIET NAM
« on: May 31, 2011, 07:32:52 pm »

Soooooo I was sitting with the chickens and looking through the dickens, and I wanna know:
1. Who plays BFBC2: Vietnam?
2. Would you like to play the said game?
3. Opinions on Battlefield 3? (Cool)
I know this is Bay 12 but I kinda want to kill something with halfway competent teammates, so I don't end up shouting curses that Satan himself wouldn't say when he stubbed his toe.
Thoughts? Comments? Anything?

Fixed yer spelling, capitalization, and grammar.

I use to play the ordinary Battlefield Bad Company 2 as an AWESOME recon player on the consoles. Computer sucks to much to play it. Meanwhile, Battlefield 3 looks a wee bit too, how do you say it, focused on sugaring the game with graphics?

They are, but not in the context that you're using them.
The game's name is Vietnam.  The country is Vietnam.

Actually, I think he just likes spaces.

Its "Battlefield" not "Battle Field", and "Vietnam" not "Viet Nam".

Further proof, as if it was needed:

The game's name is Vietnam.  The country is Vietnam.
from wikipedia
The name Việt Nam (Vietnamese pronunciation: [vjə̀tnam]) is a variation of "Nam Việt" (Hán tự: 南越, literally Southern Việt), a name that can be traced back to the Triệu Dynasty (2nd century BC).[14] The word "Việt" originated as a shortened form of Bách Việt (百越, lit. hundred Viets or multitude of Viets[15]), a word applied to a group of peoples then living in southern China and Vietnam.[16] The name Vietnam (越南) appears on 12 steles carved in the 16th and 17th centuries, including one at Cam Lộ Pagoda in Hanoi, carved in 1590.[17] In 1804-1813, the name was used officially by Emperor Gia Long.[18] The country was usually called Annam until 1945, when Emperor Bảo Đại changed the official name back to "Việt Nam".[19] (The use of Chinese characters was discontinued at this time, so the alphabetic spelling is official.)

When typing it English; ie, leaving out the diacritics (Special characters), its spelled Vietnam. Mmm.

The game is a proper title so their spacing is the correct: there is no space in the word Battlefield nor Vietnam

Gratz B12, turning a thread about gaming into a grammer debate.

I play BFBC2 quite a bit, awesome engineer + medic. See that rush box? Nope, just mine it and all thats left is a smoking pile of lag.

I played vanilla BC2, mainly as assault. It's pretty fun, the only trouble was stuff like everybody going recon, or medics being somewhat overpowered. What does Vietnam actually add? Is it worth getting?

Recon is still there of corse, but i think its worth getting. The Huey is under powered. I think that it was worth the money i payed for it.
