Laptop keyboard layout
« on: April 15, 2008, 09:49:00 pm »

I've got a laptop I want to play on but it lacks a number pad, which would cripple the DF interface.  I'm going to try to reconfigure it and was hoping to get suggestions on the layout I should use from anyone who's done the same.

Sorry, I didn't mean to place this here.

Most laptops have a function key.

See those small numbers or symbols on certain keys in a different colour than the normal symbols?  When holding down the function key, you can press keys to get the special result.  That includes your keypad.

I use the arrow keys. I reconfigured + and - to the ones on the number row. If I absolutely have to move diagonally, I can still use the numbers.
