Okay. I think I'll remove all the females, just in case I make a mistake. It's better to have 1 female and 1 hundred males than the other way around...
Wait, what if I keep 1 female and a couple of males, then let them breed when needed?
You'd still have to really micromanage it.  It's way too easy to miss a birth notice or two.... and after that, you're doomed.

Okay then time to butcher all the females.

EDIT: Strange, there used to be an adult male and a female kitten. The male isn't here any more. Wonder what happened...

24 cage traps lining a 3 tile wide hallway should be enough right? (lol)

Serious question: Should I line them up going from wall to wall, or line them up along the wall?

well, if it makes any sense, group them around corners.  Enemies always take the shortest route to your fort, so if you set traps around the inside of that corner, you'll get them in the traps more often.

Just breached the caverns!

I found 7 ant people, most of which have blowguns. My 10 military dwarves have iron plate bodies, iron helmets, and iron spears. Should I take them on?

If you like.  They aren't very dangerous, and don't have anything of value, but it's good exp for your dwarves.  Just remember to watch out for the blowdarts, they can be dangerous at times.

I HATE how this community keeps tricking people DX

But it's so funny XD

Losing is Fun! Well, time to set my medical dwarves into a burrow on the hospital.

EDIT: Oh crap! The injured can't be recovered because there is still 1 or 2 male drones wandering about!

Draft a few n00b marksdwarves to snuff them out or chase them away, then have them stationed near your injured so your civvies don't get ambushed while trying to recover wounded.

NOOO!!!!

Now theres a Jabberer in my fort! CRAAAAAP!

Let's see him survive an iron spear to the face.

I just drafted 3 dwarves to defend the bodies while they are recovered, and to kill this jabberer.

Let's hope this works... Most of them are still alive. only 2 died. The rest are still down there, getting their iron chest plates spammed with blowdarts that have no chance at penetrating.

Ambushed? by elves? are there any bowmen, or are they just melee elves?

Unless they have some ranged units, they'll be simple to destroy.
