What should the magic system be like?

Basically, just nothing ridiculous like a race of pancakes, or giant robots.

Would a race of Waffles be acceptable?

No. They are an enslaved bunch of assholes who get shot out of cannons for fun.

The magic system will be rather unpredictable,  not in a way that any random spell will blurt out, but it would take years of training to get the right one in a field to be used at the right amount of power. For example you may try to start a small fire and end up setting ablaze a whole forest.

Your free to copy and paste the rules the other site, if you really want to. It'd make everything a hell of a lot easier for creating the system.

It'll be a while in planning for this to be really good, i've got down most of the basic stuff now though.

With my luck everytime I try to use magic even if it involves water this would happen
