Ah, so it's a massive debuff and morale hit at once. Sounds pretty effective actually, the celts actually done a similar thing.

 Also, I might as well get this now (since this can become a hot topic), should either vampires or dragons be put in? Given that they've become super cliches?

Put both vampires, and Dragons, but don't make the vampires your stereotypical movie, and novel ones. Also you must add GNOMES !!!!!!!!!!!!

If you do place Dragons, make sure they are either: A. Extinct, Or B. Legends made up by superstitious townfolk.

Dragons only if you subvert a few tropes with them. Vampires only if they're the bloodthirsty sort.

Perhaps make them similar to whole velociraptor thing, as in people think they're big and scary when actually they have feathers and tend to catch fire if they breath fire. Gnomes will either work along side dwarves, or battle them for control of the mountains.

Woah, you guys reply fast. Also this isn't meant to be realistic, vampires are something I can't really work in though unless they're feral and wild.
