"Not much. I am a monster hunter like you, but I don't really like magic. Too complex, too many rules. A gun, some Kevlar and a flashlight is fine for me. To kill monsters properly, thinking like them is a bad idea. They are bloody unpredictable. Just think like yourself, and make sure you know how many monsters you are dealing with." The Pilot steers the plane a bit, trying to avoid a particularly large Shoggoth.

"Bloody Shoggoths. Very annoying. They make a nasty squealing sound when your engines snag on one. Their ichor obscures the windows, too. I just avoid them."

[choobakka]

King says, "Well, now that that's settled... We have some extra-dimensional entities to kill. The Hat was a portal to the space between universes. I kept stuff in there, in a compact enclosed bubble. I put the bubble enchantment on there - before that the Hat was just a locked gateway. Now that it's destroyed, there's no lock, so monsters are streaming through. And Blankey, she has this aura around her, like you want to stay with her forever. And I know getting out of that is hard. But your going to have to break it."

[Fniff]

"Oh, fucking hell, that stupid bloody aura..." Jack muttered. "325 diplomats from other supernatural communities, all bloody killed themselves for her. That caused much more prejudice for the vampire community then the Jackson Trails!" Jack exclaims.

[choobakka]

"325? Really? From where? All I heard about were Peaseblossom of the Fey and Duke Redfang of the Werewolf Alliance."

[Fniff]

"Paris...Paris has this weird sort of thing with supernatural creatures. They fucking love it. Vampires included. It has a... Siren, if you will, to creatures. This has a side effect of there being more creatures of the night then humans, and more bloody supernatural equal rights groups then actual normal equal rights groups. And that leads to a hell of a lot of political organizations. Hell, the mayors haven't been human for the last 50 years! Humans are a bloody minority!"

[choobakka]

"Wow. I didn't know there were that many non-humans here. Most of them must be vampires, werecreatures, and other human-shaped and -colored types. Because I don't see many ogres or goblins walking around."

[Fniff]

"You don't know Paris, then. Haven't you been to the Lovecraft Court? That is a whole section of the city that is basically populated by Lovecraft's nightmares! And that's not counting the underground! Jesus, the underground..."

[choobakka]

"I know all about the underground. The Lovecraftian section must be near the Rue d’Auseil. Did old Erich finally give up his music?"

[Fniff]

"Actually, that is completely unrelated. The Lovecraftian creatures like it here because Paris people are so used to this supernatural shit they just don't care enough to be driven mad by the horrors."

[Furtuka]

"If there are so manyy supernaturals ere, why haven't we seen any of them fighting the ghouls?"

[Fniff]

"Same reason you don't see humans fighting ghouls, but with a different motivation. It's not that they are too weak, it's that it is insanely dull to kill ghouls month after month after bloody month, and eventually you realize that most Parisians are smart enough to go to the Safezone, so we shrug our shoulders, barricade the doors and wait."

[Furtuka]

"So in other words, it is because everyone in Paris is lazy."

[Fniff]

"It happens every bloody month whether or not we try to do something about it. It's like trying to get rid of storms, it's pointless and it just ends up getting you hurt! Ghouls don't even do bloody much, they don't even mess up the streets when they die! No blood or gore!"

[Furtuka]

"Where do they come from then?"

[Fniff]

"Some idiot vampire who doesn't like rations decides to get a bite to drink. Then, the prick drains the human fully and leaves him. A proper vampire wouldn't drain the human of blood, and if he did, he would have given his own blood to make the drained human a vampire. Then, this drained human wakes up as a mindless ghoul, bites another human converting the human into a ghoul, until there is a bloody murder of the things. So then the city goes into lockdown yet again, due to some idiot vampire who was careless."
