Briar examines the runes, he runs his hands over them and immediately pulls them back in pain. "Damn that hurt, anyways these are some odd runes right here. Haven't seen them before, literally not from this world." he then tosses it back to Kidd.

"Can we get back to the hotel now?"

(Yeah, we got what we wanted anyways.)

-TIME SKIP-
After a long drive the three adventurers arrived at their hotel room, Briar walked over to a nearby chair and began to read his newly gained book. After reading the first few pages he flipped on the TV, a man in a suit was talking about a recent event going on in Paris. "This just in! Sources are saying there are mentally ill people filling the streets! They are said to suck the blood from anyone not like them, France is currently saying that it is an infection in the water supply, more details after this."

The phone began to ring. King picked it up.

"Oh, morning! This is Blankey! Burpy is dead, but the poltergeist is gone! Also, I may have dumped the spiritual residue of the ghost into the Paris Water Supply!"

"Goddamnit, Blankey... Let's get to the airport, I guess... Why vampires? Why? I can't stand fucking vamipres! And in Paris... Oh, goddess, it's her, isn't it..." He groans. "Time to go. We should hurry. These ghouls are her servants, most likely. Poltergeist was probably a ruse."

"Well, it was in a metro. Vampires loooooove metros. Now, if you excuse me, these holy molotovs are going to come in handy." A hissing comes from the phone. "Well, gotta go! Remember, aim for the heart, and be fast, like a dart!" The phone goes dead.

King slams down the phone. "We should go. I saw a catholic church on the way from the airport. We can get some holy water there. And stakes should be easy to get. Everybody also needs a holy symbol they believe in. I have my Principia, but you guys need something. As long as you believe in it." He grabs the jeep's keys out of his hat. "And now we're leaving."

Briar pulls out a necklace with a small skull attached to it, "I got this thing here. Now lets get the hell over to Paris, maybe I can find a evil vampire relic while im there?"

((Timeskip.))
After a brief hassle with the holy water, and several replacement metal detectors and xrays when Kings hat was tested, our intrepid morally ambiguous protagonists arrived in Paris.

The Vampire Infection Safezone was, as usual, set up in the airport. This was to prevent people from carrying the infection skyward and to prevent tourists from seeing a very hungry vampire infestation. Vampire infestations happened once a month. Some idiot vampire would forget to clean his mouth and end up half-converting a human, resulting in a ghoul. Most of the time, they are pretty much abandoned and they go rampant. They are essentially vampires, only they have the lifespan of about a day. It does improve tourism though, from the extreme sports crowd.

Blankey was here, loading his AK47 with rounds peppered with holy water and garlic. Vampires actually love garlic, but ghouls don't. The guards patrolled the entire airport, looking around for any intrusions from the sieging ghouls and the occasional bored vampire.

"Beeeeeeeeeep!" Blankey yells, and runs towards the three adventurers.

"Blankey, is this your fault? Because if it is, then I'm very disappointed in you. Unless they'll pay us to get rid of it. In which case, good job!"

"Vampires eh" said Kidd. Suddenly he put a hand to his forehead. "I think I just remembered something, but it doesn't make any sense, something about a bunch of viking looking guys fighting some girl..."

Blankey points to a sign which has several translations for the world's most popular languages. This includes English.

"Remember: Every vampire killed is 300 Euro!"

"Vikings!? Like puppies!? YAY!" Blankey fist-pumps.
