I'm hoping to catch Xgamer tomorrow or wednesday for our match

Wednesday would be the best, more than likely, but if you can actually catch me tomorrow we may be able to get one going.

You wouldn't though.

Depending on the league some people will just concede against cookie cutter chaos teams because they don't want their hard-earned players getting massacred by "bob" the Claw/RSC/MB/DP Chaos Warrior, or "bob 2" the other Claw/RSC/MB/DP Chaos Warrior, or "bob 3" etc.

It's no fun to play a team that focuses on killing everyone, and you won't win.  In theory you could but you won't.

I don't agree with your supposition. Certainly, if you also play a bruiser team, playing against a Chaos team can be tough... but then, if all the Chaos players are 4-upgrade players, then all of my players are probably 4-upgrade players, so I might have some nifty ways of my own to deal with the problem.

The speed and stunty teams, on the other hand, can laugh as those slow Chaos warriors try to even get close. A Wood Elf Team will put its one Treeman on the line with two redshirts and, after kickoff, accept that it will suffer one blitz a turn. It prays that said blitz will lead to a "Defender Stumbles".

I can understand not enjoying the way that playing a well-crafted Chaos team can lead to a gameplay you don't enjoy, but I don't think that makes them undefeatable, and certainly not compared to teams with comparable levels of experience.

That was ambiguous, sorry.  By "you won't win" I mean "the person playing the killy-kill chaos team probably won't be winning any tournaments, but we'll have a high body-count"

Since I'm the one playing the Chaos team in this tourny, I can assure you that I'll very likely have a 'lol'-worthy build by the end, so don't fret. :)

Sartain, what timezone are you in? I'm kinda getting the impression that I get home from work right about the time you go to sleep.

He's a UK player. I'm guessing that you haven't gotten your game played yet?

Ah, that would explain it. I'm over here in Mountain Time (-7GMT). And no, not yet.

Wait, this is apparently close to the tabletop version?

Good god, why didn't I know about this sooner?

I think "close" is a bit of an understatement. There are very few things that are done differently, but I don't remember what.

It's the tabletop +. In Dark Elves edition, there were quite a few TT rules that didn't make it in. By now in LE, virtually all the table top rules are now included.

Might have to buy and sign up if there's a third season, then.

No Chaos Dorfs though, because the devs were too lazy to code centaurs >:C

Any luck guys?

This league is already like 6x more successful than the last one.

Which is really, really sad, but true.

Anyway, certainly don't want to sound like I'm pushing things, but if you guys could get your game played this weekend it would be appreciated. The sooner we can get the week advanced, the sooner everyone else can play.

Nah, don't worry about pushing things. I completely understand. I've been wanting to play it as well, though the only time I've actually seen him active on Steam was five minutes before I had to leave for work. Otherwise he's either logged out or snoozing or away. I'd imagine it's the same with him for me...
