(OOC: I sort of just realized that there's no player with high authority on the Taission (or anywhere).)

"This is Captain Catwith speaking. All crew members are aboard and all systems are go. Boarding ramps are retracted. Sub-light engines engaging in 5...4...3...2...1...now. The Galactic Protectorate Collective's Ship Taission, begun her maiden voyage."

A few moments later.

"Okay, we are now clear of the spacedock. Prepare for the jump to hyperspeed."

You feel a sensation like your whole body twisting around your stomach. It quickly passes.

"Ladies, gentlemen, and so forth, we are now at hyperspeed. We will be arriving in the Jhordian System in approximately one cycle [(about a day)]."

Ludwig came to the bridge of his ship as it was exiting hyper-space. His first so called mission with the new crew was a derelict space station that was stuck in a meteor shower. As he entered the bridge he saw the station, it was beaten up and compartments of it had come off.Ludwig sat down. He then signalled the crew to get ready and as he was nearing the station he started scanning it, the scanner was old and wasn't the best but it did it's job, nobody alive. He steered the Dies Irae next to the space station and locked to an intact port.
Ludwig stood from the chair he was sitting on, checked his old gun that still ran on rechargable cells and attached the compact hoverboard to his back. He then stood there and waited for the rest of the crew.

That last gobbo would stand there, missing an arm, punctured in a kidney, liver, and spleen, fading in and out of consciousness at the far end of where the drawbridge would go, and his last sight would be the drawbridge dropping down and smashing him like a bug.

God DAMN I love this game!

Hav'lishloc was pleased at the price he got for his ore, at least as pleased as a Visloc could be. He never suspected that the merchants were deliberately underpaying him because he never suspected that they could do such a thing. Vislocs could be incredibly naive at times. He quickly checked the status of his ship. Refuelled, air, food and water replenished, ore sold. There was only one thing he needed to do before he could leave the station. He looked around for a personnel of Star Forces Central Command. After spending several minutes, he found one. He walked up to the bemused person, extending his hand in the custom of humans.

"Greetings. I am Hav'lishloc, Visloc ambassador to this space station. Would you mind taking me to your leader?"

Brian Charleson was extremely annoyed that they wouldn't let him bring his work tools into the stations without proper permits, he didn't even know you needed permits for them. As he walked forward along with a crowd of people he pulled out his datapad and re-read through the work offer. He desperately needed a job, his ship was barely holding together and he was quickly running out of money. In a week he wouldn't have enough to even buy himself a meal, and he wasn't planning on begging either.

It was work he figured that he'd be good at, he was born on a mining colony after all. Scavenging wrecks should be easy for him, well atleast he thought so.

He arrived at the shady looking bar and he stepped inside.

Once inside he started heading towards the counter, accidently bumping into a few people on the way. At the counter he saw a man who he assumed was the one who was offering the job based on the picture on the data-pad.

He cleared his throat and said "Are you Patrick O' Kelly? Im here about the job offer."

"What in the hell are you talking about, you creepy thing?" asked the corporal.

Another officer who was with the corporal said, "Maybe thinks you'll take him to see the Galactic Council."

"The only thing I'm introducing to this joker is my fist, to his face."

The corporal then took a swing at the Visloc.

Taric waited on the observation deck, the CO saying that the battlegroup would reach the system within the hour. He peered out onto the horizon, the outside being blurred due to the FTL speeds that they were going at. Once there, he had no idea about what will happen.

"Attention, this is your captain speaking. We are about to drop out of hyperspeed. All crew please report to battle stations."

A few moments later, you feel your body knot around your stomach again.

"We have now left hyperspeed. Welcome to the Jhordian System; give them hell."

(OOC: Okay, Space Forces players have authorization to begin the attack on the Jhordian System and simulate both sides of the conflict. Remember to make the Jhordians a competent fighting force. They aren't push overs, but you should be able to eventually beat them with effort.)

Once the alert went off, Taric headed down to the 32nd battalion's armoury, Putting the battle armour on and grabbing his rifle, MP, grenades and other equipment he then rushed off to the first shuttle bay. These shuttles would be used to either board installations or capture interlopers after the EW guys had disabled the target's engines.

Patrick looked over the datapad once more. Apparently an old freighter had been spotted by a survey crew a few days back. It had been listed as missing over twenty years prior, on the other end of known space. How it ended up here was anyone's guess. But was most interesting was it's cargo. Full load of precious metals, bound back to Collective Space when it reported engine trouble and vanished. And now it looked like it was back.

“If this is legit, Gonzo, we'll both be getting a good pay cheque. Might even be able to afford a few repairs to the Knave. The old girl really been needing an engine overhaul.”

Gonzo smiled as he bobbed his flabby head in agreement, taking our a small cloth to pat his sweaty brow, “Yes, that's why I'm counting on you getting to it first. A find like this won't stay secret for long. I'd expect every treasure hunter and pirate within a dozen systems will be out hunting for this ship.”

Gonzo rose to his feet slowly and outstretched his chubby hand to shake Patrick's, “Go find me some treasure.”

O'Kelly smiled and nodded positively, “With pleasure.” With that, Gonzo waddled off and Patrick hit the bar to try and order a drink before checking on his Ship's status.

He whirled around as he heard someone clear his throat right behind him,

"Are you Patrick O' Kelly? Im here about the job offer."

Patrick furrowed his brow in confusion a moment then remembered the small ad he had placed in the starport wanted section and smiled, “Ah, right!” He looked the man over a moment critically, “Engineer, right?”

He motioned for him to take a spot beside him at the bar, then raised two fingers at the bartender for beverages.

“Let's have a drink, The Knave is in need of a new engineer. Preferably one that can work miracles on old engines with few spare parts. Tell me about yourself.”

As he spoke, the bartender placed two small tumblers full of a neon blue liquid between the pair, taking a few credits from Patrick, then placed 2 tiny umbrellas with some sort of fruit skewered on them into the glass, making the drink hiss and fizz.

Patrick looked at the beverages with a quizzical look before shrugging and offering one to Brian.

Hikari sat in the captain's chair watching space fly by around him when a man says " Captain ! We are dropping out now our destination is still a little ways a way, but we can't risk the Jhordians catching us just in case this is something they don't want here. " Hikari jumps up just as the hard jerking feeling of dropping out of hyperspeed always does, and runs over to a computer terminal rapidly typing away he flicks his head set on, and says " Ok, guys we have arrived in the Jhordian system Jack, and  Silvia I want you to get the stealth field up immediatley. Harkinson get your men, and get the Stingrays ready for launch. This is now a Code Red Situation all hands to your stations we have to deliver this package. " with that Hikari pressed send on the computer he was working on, adn all of the auto turrets jumped to life looking for a target. Looking over his shoulder he says " Vannessa are the scanners online yet? " the young blonde woman sitting on the otherside of the CC replied : Yes, Captain nothing on screen as of yet. " Hikari released a sigh of relief, and returned to his chair saying " Lets get this started Heading 0-6-0 Full Speed Ahead. Destination Jhordian Head Military Space Station. "

Daniel's ship is taking a stop over at the Space Station over in Jhordian, and is lounging about in a bar, a few meters away from the roulette table. His ship is rather out of the way, hid in an almost unnoticeable docking port surrounded by larger ships. He's using whatever money he has left to gamble, and that probably won't turn out well for him...

Brian sat down next to Patrick, he grabbed one of the drinks and took a sip. He gagged, and put down the drink. He then said "Well, I was born on a mining colony a way's away from here. Been fixing things since I was kid, I consider myself pretty good at it."

Brian continued "If you need proof of my skills you can take a look at my ship, when I got it only around half of it was working. Had to go around looking for junked ship parts, now it works almost all of the time."

"Not much of a fighter though, so if we run into any trouble I won't provide much help."

NPC - Jhordian System Forces

Commander Ferrin Barnes – CO of the Patrol Frigate Sentinel

Commander Barnes walked onto the bridge slowly, blowing on a still steaming hot cup of coffee as he went to start his morning shift. Settling down in his command chair he set his coffee down beside him and picked up the small datapad left for him by his XO, detailing any reports from the previous watch.

“Anything to report on sensors, Mister Decker?”

“Negative, Sir. We received a distress call from a freighter that lost engine power about an hour ago, but the Valiant responded to the call. Otherwise, it's been a pretty quiet morning.”

Ferrin smiled and nodded , taking a tentative sip from his black coffee. “Good to hear, thank you.” He allowed himself a moment to relax back into his seat, thankful that the Jhordian Naval Command had sprung for the Alpax leather seating. It made these outer-system patrols more bearable.

The Commander was interrupted from his relaxation by the high pitched squeal of an unknown, possibly hostile contact appearing on sensors.

“Unknown contact! Bearing two-five-eight. Heading for Jhordia Prime at high speed. It's big sir.” Lt. Decker called out as he read the information.

High alert!” The Commander bellowed, setting down his barely-touched coffee, “Classification?”

“Doesn't match anything on record, sir. Emissions records are similar to GPC, but it's much bigger than anything we have in the databank.”

Barnes chewed on his lip anxiously for a moment as he watched the viewscreen fill up with pertinent information. It was quite clear that the Sentinel would be no match for this leviathan of a ship if it came to a slugging match. “Comms, open a channel -” He paused a beat before continuing with his message “Unidentified vessel, This is Commander Barnes of the JSF vessel Sentinel, you are in violation of sovereign Jhordian space. Identify yourself and reverse course immediately!”

“JSF Sentinel, this is Galactic Protectorate Collective's Ship Taission. The Jhordian system is now under the Collective's protection. Any hostilities against our vessel will be targeted with extreme prejudice. You will power down your ship and surrender, this is your only warning.”

Commander Barnes couldn't help but hold a look of disbelief on his face. As much as the JSF had trained for this eventuality, the reality of the situation hadn't fully sunk in. The Collective was finally making a play for their home

“I've signaled fleet command, commander.”
Comm Officer Galin reported. “The Valiant and the Iron Hand are en route to our location. Fleet Admiral Taves is ordering us to fight a delaying action until our forces can fully mobilize.”

“Thank you, Mister Galin. Helm, bring us into a harassing attack pattern, don't get too close and try to stay out of range. We'll delay them as long as possible, full power to shields. Charge weapons.”

So much for a relaxing morning, Barnes thought to himself. His thoughts interrupted as the Sentinel was violently rocked by a direct salvo hit from the GPC dreadnought's weapons batteries.

The blow bounces off of Hav'lishloc's exosuit. He ignores it.

"Is the Galactic Council running this space station?"
