Search the nearby areas for sand and clay.

Collects anything of use in the area, including food and fuel.

I propose Azen shall get no food if he does not fell at least one tree a day.

OOC: Seriously, that axe should be put into use.

OOC: Its a war axe.
And Azen brought most of the food, anyways.

OOC: You can still use it for woodcutting. And Azen's tied for fourth in terms of who brought the most food.

OOC: No. Jorudmor is no woodcutting implement! He's a finely tuned weapon of war, and will be used as such.

Gethor stood up and yelled: "No work, no food. Now, the one who has the axe, pick it up and fell a tree. We need them badly for fuel and beds."

Azen throws his axe at a tree, causing it to lodge into it.
"Fine."
In three swings, the tree lay on the ground.
In 3 more swings, there sat a refined log.

OOC: 1 log, but his axe training allows him to deliver blows that even a tree couldn't resist.

"Don't worry about me then, I give that Cave a good look through..."
Neyvn muttered as he pulled himself into the saddle of his Mount, the cavern rat adjusting its position to the dog's hunch before making a little nest of sorts in the fur. Neyvn reached down to the side of his saddle and unhitched what appeared to be a Whip of sorts, made from Splunker's vine, and attached it to the belt next to the climbing gear that was already there. His axe was slung over his shoulder in a way that it was ready to grab as needed.
"I'll be back before ya know it..." He called as he and his mount bounded away towards the cave entrance...

Inspect the Interior of the Cave. Don't go too deep but check to see if anything is currently living there.

Azen scouts the mountain area, keeping a look out for hostiles while Myit searches for wildlife to hunt.
Myit spots the tracks of many deer and elk, and can see fish in the river. Azen sees nothing alive during his search, but notes some arrows carved into the stone arount the cave.

As Azen is heading back, Grthor confronts him and asks him to use his axe to chop down trees.
With the two working together, one felling and the other dragging them up the path back to camp, three trees are brought to the wagon.

Zazit takes a pick and begins mining the eastern wall of the cave interior. Soon, he has a pile of stone at his feet and the nice beginnings of a tunnel.
Sandow's golem, having been orderd to mine outside the cave, waits quitely for the only pick to become available. After Zazit is finished, it begins mining outside the cave entrance, working through the night.

Tholtig serveys the area around the path, and is pleased to find sand lining the shore of the upper spring stream, which turns to sandy clay further down towards ground level.

Nevyn carefully searches the interior of the cave, for food and wildlife. There are cavern fish in the stream, and while the entrance to the cave is barren it becomes covered with plant life further in. The edge of the river is muddy and treacherous, and there are pitfalls hidden by the mat of greenery covering the floor.
There are signs of inhabitance, bones and scraps of fur littering the ground. Nevyn retreats when the path becomes too dotted with pitfalls to continue safely.

Five stone and three logs gained, no supplies lost.

The group sleeps, and the interior of the cave proves to be of adequate warmth even at night.
As the first rays of light shine down, the nine dwarves wake hungry and with thirst, and the two guards begin unloading the supplies from the horses, which they wil be taking with them.

Sandrow's golem has been working through the night, and has dug a hole straight downwards into the mountain, about six feet. There is little usable stone, and it takes Zazit, Azen, and both guards to haul it out.

Morning of Galena the first, year 2209:
Dwarves are hungry and thirsty. One stone gained.
Fortress is content. Food stock estimated to last for one month.

Azen grabs a nice piece of food, and a nice barrel, and chows down.
