@adwarf: Yes, hammerdwarf would apply to wielding a simple staff.
One problem: You've but two extra labors, when the only caste that gets two is Thug. Other than that, you're fine.

@Tlc2011: There are some problems with your stats. They add up to 140, and aren't in the ranges specified in Character creation. You also have the same extra labor problem as adwarf.
If you want to discuss having a character that bends the rules a little, PM me and we'll talk there so we don't muck up the thread. :]

i think last time i got extra food out of the ingredients by cooking and watering it down with one part water. Did we get extra food out of it last time?

"Since it seems nobody is digging at the moment, i'll just borrow this pick then"

have the golem Dig a 5x5 room for future farming, while i supervise but really practice swordsdwarfship. Eat yummy stew

Nevyn continues with his woodcutting after breakfast, felling two trees and returning them to the wagon as the sun rises in the east and travels along the sky.

Azen spends the morning constructing a dummy out of branches, then practicing his axedwarfship as his dog watches. The dummy is soon chopped to pieces, and Azen feels like he's gained experience.

Tholtig eats, then begins moving her tools over to one of the blocks, and continuing last night's work.
She chistles three stones into blocks, and feels like she's closer to understanding stoneworking.

Gethor finishes eating, deciding to forgo the usual morning alcohol in favor of water, then gets to work planting crops. By noon, he has successfully planted the entire stock of helmet spawn, marking the field out with scrap wood and stones.

Zazit awakens drowsy, but feels much better after rehydrating his meal and eating. As the pick seems to be in use, he takes the time to rest his muscles, sore from the constant impacts of pick on stone.

Myit goes out hunting again, and spots the same herd as before, near the river.
This time the first arrow strikes the buck in the side, a nonlethal hit! The herd scatters, but Myit is able to keep track of the injured animal, and brings it down with a second shot. One arrow is broken, the other lost.
On the way back, he happens to spot a clump of edible mushrooms.

Hastur eats and practices with his rapier as his golem digs, but without his full attention the golem doesn't complete the task well.
What was supposed to be a large room for farmland is instead an open hole, usable but indistingushable from normal cave.


6 Fine Stew, 1 Trecker's Lunch, 3 Sugar Ale, and 3 Stone Wine lost.
3 Surface Shrooms gained.
Deer corpse gained.
2 Arrows lost.
3 stones lost, 2 stones gained.
2 Stone Blocks gained.
2 logs gained.
20 Helmet Spawn lost.

Sandow puts the slime dogs in the pit he dug and any other small defenceless animals we might have. Then cooks up the previous deer entrails and bones into a hearty stew. ADD WATER and some cave stalks too
