Any information would be highly appreciated (I really do hope it's not cheese). Also suggestions on throne design would not be shot down, the only concrete idea is that it is made of obsidian (provides contrast to the king's golden armor.

Please do note that no details are in yet (save the kings face/hair) nor are any shading, texturing, or lighting.

BTW that is a very low quality image, when the final one goes up I will make sure it's at its best. But it will take a while to make it.

ok i finished up summer and autumn today, and i'll get winter up by tonight. really sorry for lack of screenshots but nothing really noteworthy has happened.

i managed to work the mountainhome symbol thing into the journal.


and i think it would be great if the throne was studded with some kind of gem.

This is my first succession game, and I forgot to ask. Are we using some sort of upload site for switching people, or something different?

you should upload your save to DFFD, or any other filesharing site and post the url here.

anyways my turn is done, i'm uploading as i type. Save file link is in the OP. uploaded with default ASCII art.

apparently LNP also resets the init.txt and dinit.txt to their original values when changing graphic sets.

I was looking over the legends in the save and I have bad news.

Our civilization is not a dwarven one anymore. It fell to goblins in 111, to elves in 117 and its current king is  the elf Meng Lungroom who became the king in 125. Should I change the art to reflect this?

i already sent one out earlier today, just like i said i would in the OP.
I was looking over the legends in the save and I have bad news.

What? that's inconceivable! that really actually surprised me, i got the backstory from legends mode and i never saw anything about goblins or elves being king... just slaughter after slaughter and pillaging after pillaging...guess i missed it.

also when i looked in the civ screen (fort mode) the king's title is simply "king" if it's an elf shouldn't it be "Elf King" or something?

EDIT: no wonder i missed it, it's right at the end of the world history and i usually just scan through the grey stuff anyways.

if it's not too much work then it would be appreciated. based on this new info, i'm implementing a new rule that most of you should find amusing, there shall be NO TRADE with the elves. you may seize their goods, kill their traders but you may NOT trade with them. (except to offer wood products) remember these are the very elves who conquered you mountainhome.

EDIT: i'm editing the intro to match this new discovery.

Can our king be a dark elf? I want him to be okay with living underground and being quite dwarvy.
