A New World (8/8 Players | Starting!)
« on: May 25, 2011, 03:00:06 pm »

Welcome to This "New World"
Spoiler: Map (click to show/hide)

A new world. For the people of Heytorui, who were recently coming out of a new age of war between the Empires, this was a new chance at getting out of the constant cycle of war. Here, the Empires such as Borghyia or Hect had little sway at what happened.

But, for all its glory, the people of Heytorui were still quite violent to each other. And no dought would bring their violent ways with them...

Based off the world of my superly old Conquer the World thread, this is a game about colonizing a new world. It will be played in Three stages. Each will have its own focuses and bonuses.

For now, here is the sheet for joining. Rules will be explained and fleshed out as the game progresses. And I promise you, it will be quite different from other games. The system is open for anyone to use, by the way.

Leader:
Nation:
Spoiler: Major Nations (click to show/hide)
Starting Area: (Rough Estimate. You may not get what your looking for, but neither did the frist settlers of America)
Bio: (Why did you come? How did you come? Where did you come from?)
Color:

Note: So-called "Traits" are mearly cosmetic and are there to show you what each faction is like. Its planned out like so: (Traits: Government Type | Cultural Focus | Agriculture ).

Name:  Boss Systar
Nation:  Kolan Republic
Color:  Green
Location:  Coastal, on the large continent, on a river, near forests, near fertile land... that order of priority.  Ideally...
Spoiler: Right here. (click to show/hide)
Bio:  Boss Systar was one of many up and coming capitalists working to get rich in the Kolan Republic.  After forming a shipping company of some renown, the opportunity came to him to lead a colonization effort in a remote part of the world.  Ever the one to seize opportunity by the nether regions, he immediately put together his fleet, all his workers and families, and whoever else he could coerce onto a ship and set out for the new world.

Bold, ruthless, and calculating, Boss Systar (as everyone who works for him calls him) will stop at nothing to earn every last penny possible from this new world.  Don't stand in his way, or he'll buy the ground under you.

The technology is from when our new world was found.

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot. You need to put your color.

@USEC_OFFICER: The Hectic Religon is very similar to Roman Catholic.

Leader:  Vraite clan Remalle
Nation:  Hedian Empire
Starting area:  forested river delta on the main island (continent?)
Bio:  A former Hectic crusader of clan Remalle, Vraite left their religious ways to become a mercenary. As a talented commander of troops whose maneuvering was unmatched, he was hired by the Hedian Empire and rose quickly through the ranks.  Now, after the last war has finished, the Hedians have set their sights on the New World and have selected Vraite clan Remalle to establish a forward base from scratch.
Vraite joined the Hedians for a large sum and won't be bought out easily, but that doesn't mean he doesnt have a selfish agenda...
What... is your favourite colour: Blue!  No, wait, yellow!  (both actually, it's just the Monty Python ref was irresistible)

Leader: Jaanus the fat logical
Colour: Orange(annoying)
Nation: NaN-i create a NEW nation,where all stats are medium....The viro,perhaps?
Starting area: A little island on the lower left,at the collision of the river, mountain, and forests on either side.
Bio:
Jaanus climbed out of his little hut, head still aching from the beer he had drunk.
Being a village chief really shucks, cause he had to drink one barrel of beer, for each of the victms fallen, due to pirates.
He had to take a leak...

Alfter satisfiying his needs,he went at the middle of the village, and yelled:
"BRETHEN!"
All the villagers jumped or stumbled out of their houses, some even forgetting their pants by their beds.
"WE here today, shall not just limit ourselves to drinking and singing all years!"
boooo
"no,NO,my boys,NOW we shold buid an EMPIRE!"
boooooooooo! *someone threw him with a pine cone*
"then we can have MORE BOOZE!!" he yelled,in his last trouble.
that idea was taken by the crowd with great joy and laughter, wise elders were nodding with their gray beards wawing, and the idea was taken into account.
"THEN,we can just WHIP THE PIRATE ASSES FOR GOOD!"he roared, and now the crowd just maddened in cheers,
because of their wise
"good ol` leader."
They had a wild celebration party, which depleted their beer stock, and made Jaanus to really hate it.
It is two years from now.Barbaric villagers have turned into barbaric citizens.
Jaanus still has to drink beer. That keeps murdering his liver.
