A quick search yielded no results, so I hope this wasn't posted already.

If a mechanism has been designated a pressure plate and set to "citizens trigger", soldiers won't trip it.  I've tested this repeatedly with a varity of soldiers and locations.  The second a civilian walked over the pressure plate it reacted just as it should.

There are a lot of problems with the "citizens trigger" setting - I have yet to get it to work at all for animals, for instance.

Really? I've never gotten any of my dwarves to trigger a pressure plate, even though I set them to be triggered by civilians of the correct size. The pressure plates just don't react to my dwarves, but they do react to animals, at least until they seem to become bugged and break down.

The bug list says citizens not triggering pressure plates does not reproduce:

However, I've never once gotten a citizen to trigger a pressure plate. I'd really like to know what I'm doing wrong, if anything.

I can approve. My sitizens never activate the PPs. Tried to make automatic trash compactor, but no luck... Had to use a simple lever.

Does somebody have a simple save for me to test with civilians and soldiers?  I marked it as doesn't reproduce because it worked fine when I tried out the bug.
