I'm thinking of starting up a thread for a structured freeform roleplay. What this would mean is that people could roleplay all actions out, no need to run everything by the GM, but we'd agree to some ground rules beforehand to prevent godmoding, powergaming, and/or just generally annoying or pissing each other off. I'd act mostly as moderator and we would have an open line of communication so as to keep things civil. Also, whenever anyone wants to implement any new form of magic or sufficiently advanced technology, they'll have to run it by me first, mostly to keep things relatively sane(ish).

Now, for this game we'll need a setting. These are just some ideas to get started; feel free to suggest your own or modify any of these:

Western
Space Ship(s)
Space Station
Rapture
Ragnarök
Fantasy World

Even if you don't have a setting idea, I'd appreciate people just letting me know that they're interested.

If you don't have time, that's understandable, but just know this game would only have to be as much of a commitment as you make it to be. If at any time someone needed drop out or take a break they could let me know and we'd work something out.

Yeah. I don't know if this would be thing where everyone would be on one big space ship, or  it would be a situation where people could have their own ships or become crewmembers of each others's ships. I'm guessing people would probably like the latter, but who knows. If everyone was allowed to have their own ship if they wanted, we'd probably have to limit the swankiness of said ships, just so that we don't have people tearing the universe a new one in their Imperial battle cruiser or whatever on a whim. That's not to say that no one can ever have a super-swanky battle cruiser, but I'll most likely make it a rule that player need permission before they can obtain positions of power, powerful technology, magic powers, or magic artifacts.

But I suspect it's been done as well.

Yeah, those ideas were just to get the ball rolling, as it were. Whatever people want, we'll go with that.
