I'm starting to like the Space Ships idea, but if anyone really doesn't want that, please say so. Also, if you know where the bottom part of my sig is from, you'll know I don't mind magic in a space opera. Let me know if you do. Otherwise, if no one has any objections, I'd like to start up a new thread sometime tomorrow.

I'd vote for space ship, though. Role Playing aboard a space ship would be awesome.

I'm not sure whether to have one big space ship or a couple of smaller, player-owned ships. It's like the difference between Star Trek and Firefly. On the one hand you have a whole bunch of swanky gear, but it's technically space-government property, and it's use is for space-government approved activities only. On the other hand, you have some stuff that may not be the best, some might call it shitty, but it's your's, to do with as you like.

Well, it wouldn't have to be Firefly, exactly. Mostly we'd just be borrowing one of its themes, and it was pretty much just an example. As for the setting, I'd like to work out the finer details in play, as I'd like this to be a as much a collaborative process as possible, while at the same time maintaining momentum so that this doesn't fizzle out before it even gets started.
