Shift-click is auto-pickup, although it defaults to your Belt first which is silly. Definitely agree about the item shops being stupid though.

Well that is good to know at least. Still a stupid oversight on the developers part.

Horadric Lutefisk cube.
Monster Zoo.
Very clear references to Dwarf Fortress.

...I need this game. Too bad I'm at work. :(

I'd say this one is a reference to Papa Nethack, Unca' Angband, or even Grandpop ARogue, all of which have zoos.

I think this will be my next purchase, as soon as I get tired of Terraria.  I'll probably buy and play this even before I try the stuff I bought on the steam summer sale.

What do you actually get from tithing lutefisk? I assume it's very good once you tithe enough of them... I only managed 6 in my last game before I died.

I tithed 200 and got a pretty decent artifact when I was on level 2.

How in Dredmor did you get 200?!

By the way, what do those lutefisk cubes do?

The best part is that the answer to the second question is also the answer to the first.

Hint: It took me a while to figure this out, but while you have access to the internet, set Steam to offline mode. That way when you start up Steam while offline, you'll be in offline mode and it won't try to connect to their servers. Viola! Games. If you were in online (default) mode before losing connection to the internet and try to start it up in offline mode, you're locked out of your games because you can't set it to offline mode without being online first. I don't know why.

When I don't have an internet connection my steam just tries to connect, fails, then ask if I want to start in offline mode. I haven't wanted to in a while though, so I don't know if games are functional at that point.

Also, bought the game, tried 4 characters and had one actually die on the first enemy I came across. Died with zero points. That's just sad. I think I need to start giving them weapon skills...

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

Yeah, what I'm saying is at that point if:

-You were in offline mode already, you can click start in offline mode and access your games
-You weren't already in offline mode, no matter what you click it will give you another error or so and just not work.

Oooh...

Triple? More like ruins your QUADRUPLE enchanted sword. That was one of my best playthroughs, too. I couldn't bear to part with the sword, so it helped lead to my death.

Damn, monster rooms are annoying when you have no invisibility/teleportation source and play as melee fighter. I can't get my mages deeper than second level anyway... Why mathemagic first levels are so useless in comparison to any other skills ? Random teleport should at least have decent range. And is there a way to prevent damage from necronomiconomics (hehe) spells?

Bone bolts description sounds vaguely familiar ;p
